OK you guys, Ive heard people talk about this mythical match-up with mixed results, I havent seen a great deal of any of these guys at 175 but Ive seen spinks & foster get ko`d by tyson & ali respectively (no disgrace there.)

You have 2 days to decide, who wins ?

Michael Spinks or Bob Foster ?

I think Spinks takes this, reason being is because Foster doesn't have the usual advantages going into the fight..They are both 6'3 both had very good power. The difference being i think Spinks was more durable and had the more awkward style to beat, AND he fought the better comp @ Light heavy. Prediction is Spinks My UD 116-112

I think Spinks will keep Foster off-balance throughout the fight. Foster would begin to come on during the latter half of the fight, but by then Spinks has won enough rounds to take the victory.

    9-6 Spinks

Foster would fight his usual way; glaring, jabbing, hunting. Spinks wasn't stupid enough to try and trade with Foster, even if he might come off better, so he'd keep his distance and box. Foster, though a terrific all-round puncher, didn't have the speedy legs or workrate of a shorter fighter to close the distance quickly enough to land his most powerful punches. He'd try a few times and probably land some shots of note, but he wouldn't find enough to get Spinks out. Through fault of Spinks it would become a chess match. Unluckily for him, I think Foster was the cagier, trickier and smarter boxer, so he'd win it. Spinks was good fundamentally and was awkward himself, but against a longer, taller Foster, who had arguably the best jab of all, he'd come off second best in a close fight that lasts until the end.

Spinks took unothadox fighting to new heights, and will against Foster as well.
Also, Spinks is the better 'catcher'

It looks as if spinks has survived the awsome punching of bob foster to win clearly on the votes & he will surely face another landslide winner in ezzard charles.
look out for the lt-hwt final, should be a belter.

If they chose to brawl who do you think would come off best? Personally I'd go for Spinks, better chin with just about equal power

I lean towards Spinks, I think that he would lose the first couple of rounds due to Foster's jab and aggression. Eventually Spinks would adjust and learn the nuisances of Foster's awkwardness, and start to time him with big shots. Personally I have always felt that his durability is questionable under fire from the best punchers in the division's history. I feel that Spinks would slowly start to grind Foster out whilst losing rounds but get a late KO.

I have a feeling that Foster would get a KD and badly hurt Spinks with in this match up it's not really Spinks's durability to be questioned, as he never really showed a bad chin and even in the Tyson fight looked like he could've carried on.
