edit: pretty crazy story, actually, he was a normal kid whose parents found a joint in his room and confronted him about it when he came home, and immediately after quarreling with them he flung himself from his fourth story bedroom window. As tempting as it may be to make a comment like "and they said weed never killed anybody", I'm going to refrain..

You guessed it... third consecutive match between an unbeaten Roman and winless Serb.

 

Malvitano enters to RJJ's Can't Be Touched.

You better not get touched in this one, then, given the circumstances, if you're going to walk out with that, young buck..

 

Round 1

Dragojević is circling away to his left, throwing weak deterrent counters as Malvitano reaches across the gap with stiff jabs delivered from just in front of his own nose. Malvitano coming in perhaps overly cautious, bobbing & weaving, guard up and instantly reformed every time he throws. Malvitano gains confidence as the round goes on, stunning Dragojević with a jab, then causing his arms to drop with a few underhanded combos whipped into the body. Malvitano favoring a nearly backhand tennis serve jab while aiming his chest perpendicularly away from Dragojević's, then following up with a driving uppercut. Dragojević in complete defensive/sparring partner mode.

10-9 Malvitano

 

This fight is better than its predecessor, but still falling well short of the (not even all that high) bar set by the female novices in the opening pro bout of the card. For shame.

 

20-18 Malvitano, but he took a few licks from Dragojević when he cornered him.

 

Business, as good ol' J.R. would say, is picking up in the fourth. Malvitano seems to want the stoppage, and is hell bent on getting it from a body shot. Dragojević is reluctant to engage unless forced to, but really doesn't want to be halted inside the distance, fighting his ass off every time he gets hurt downstairs and/or trapped on the ropes by Malvitano.

 

At the bell Malvitano gives Dragojević a condescending pat on the shoulder for brawling with him that round, and Dragojević returns the favor.

 

Clean sweep through five; Malvitano has a round left to bag that KO...

 

Malvitano put together some pretty combinations (jab, jab, uppercut, looping right was particularly well executed) but...can't get rid of Dragojević in time.
