I feel like I've never seen a mid week main event come on that early.

Maybe I'm mistaken but I remember many late nights at the pub waiting for the main fight when I had work at 4am the next day.

Looked like Browne took a dive. Not too proud to be right in this prediction.

yeah I'm usually very hesitant with calling KO's dives or something but this was a 100% dive. Gallen neither landed clean nor landed big powerful looking shots. Browne was just going down and took the money. He probably bet his house on Gallen as a solid sized underdog and some R1 props and now he's rich.

 Well, glad I slept in. That kind of anticlimax would have not been worth missing winks over. It, does, however, possess endless comedic replay value.

Very clearly not a dive, btw. That's an old pug in poor nick taking more punches than he can handle anymore. They weren't clean nor powerful, no, but his reactions were absolutely 100% genuine and if Browne were that good a thespian he'd be in pictures. Some of those chopping rights Gallen landed in succession caused him to wince in a way that you can't help squirm at; then just look at that finishing sequence, can't realistically fake that helplessness under fire with repeated blows to your head (and for what amount of money would you even want to?). He simply doesn't belong in a boxing ring at this point. He was always slow, and now his reflex speed is half what it was in his 'prime' and his (once at least) so-so resistance must've fallen prey to a swooping drop-bear, as there's none left. Which, at 42, and having been KTFO a couple of time before, and having having eaten lots of shots throughout his career with his style (eventually overtaking & offsetting that freshness advantage you expect somebody to have with a late start) isn't that surprising.

Agreed that it wasn't a dive. I think the first chopping right was right on the temple and Browne never recovered. Yeah, you see him wince from the last jab before the first K/D. Then the second knock down consisted of one or two more chopping rights to the side of the head. It seemed dodgy first take but on analysis it was definitely legit IMO

    Australia.

A lot of sport events in Europe also have half crowd in the stands.

    An away win in Grozny,
That's a fair claim to fame,
    Though that record is tainted,
Those failed tests are a shame,
Now you've lost in the ring,
    To White Rhino Allen,
Then been decked in the first,
By a dude called Paul Gallen,
So there's not that much further,
    Your career could go down,
Time to call it a day,
    Would you say Lucas Browne?

Good poem, to answer the last part, he has already announced via social media he will keep going on.

He seems to be in it for the money only, so the options must be fairly limited if he's looking for decent pay days.

Nice collection of illegal forearms to the back of the head on Browne that. Browne threw nothing with intent. Surely it's a fix?
