Bastida is jabbing down at Taborda, not able to locate him much, but not really committing either. Taborda is missing even worse with his own jab, and his can-opener power shots on the body are just grazing, scraping at Bastida's long torso. Lots of clinching and soft up-taps on the chest by Taborda. Bastida following some of his jabs with right hands as Taborda sinks back, bopping him atop the head with them.

Round 7

Bastida is jabbing hard to make Taborda duck, then shooting the right hand over and skimming his spine, then following up with a short gavel jab on the face as Taborda clinches him around the waist. Lots of incidental contact as they bang away up close, awkwardly, neither comfortable at this range. Jabs traded, Bastida's finding the mark a little more consistently.

Round 8

Bastida is following Taborda, getting caressed with some long jabs, and extending his own but not reaching as Taborda shuffles away, hands up. Bastida has more success chopping in with his right hand from outside. Taborda lands a pair of overhand rights as Bastida gets in a left hook on the body. Very wild and wooly stuff here, and there's a standing in the middle of the ring.

Round 9

Bastida is following Taborda once again, picking off his jabs and replying with his own even though most are churning air with Taborda backpedaling rapidly. Bastida forces an exchange and both get in a few shots, culminating with an uppercut for Bastida while Taborda grabs him around the midsection by the ropes. Break ordered by the ref and Bastida is jabbing his way in and then axing with a right from on high. Taborda being very negative, skittering around, hunkering very low and then dashing in to hold.

Round 10

Bastida is holding out his left arm, draping it over Taborda's neck and shoulder blades, and pushing down on him when Taborda fires off jabs or no-look overhand rights as window dressing to clinch again. Very slow and sloppy closer, emblematic of the fight on whole, Bastida pressing the action whlie Taborda creates distance, waits, and tries ambushing Bastida with downward and upward curved shots. Most of Taborda's shots missing and most of Bastida's hitting the flanks or arms of Taborda. Bastida getting in a few clean body slaps amongst the muck.
