Andino is trading jabs with Leal in the middle of the ring and then either freewheeling around him in a gliding motion, causing Leal to lunge and miss - or, in his greedier moments, throwing light flurries while up on his toes and hunched forward only to get ripped across the jaw by the occasional left hook from Leal. Andino is caught dancing around by a chopping right on the nape of the neck, and quickens his pace skirting the ring only to circle in and clinch.

They keep cutting to somebody's wife in the crowd losing her damn mind, alternately cheering excitedly and clutching her hands to her face anxiously.

 

Round 5

Andino is timing Leal on the way in with the right hand but falling down as he gets overeager with his reach-in flurries or several jab sequences while circling a bit faster than his legs can keep up. He falls twice, ref correctly ruling a slip both times although Leal tries giving him a parting gift with each fist on the way down each time. Andino just barely slick enough to stay a step ahead of Leal, countering and avoiding receipts, although Leal is grazing him and Andino doesn't seem to have the athleticism to keep his poise with all this hyperkinetic movement.

Round 6

Andino is pulling away from jabs and zapping Leal with his own, but when he bends over Leal is able to smash him on the base of the skull with right hands. Andino landing more, as he draws Leal in, makes him miss, and then reaches in with combos, but all of his stuff is super light. Awkward clinch, with Andino's head lodged in Leal's armpit while they whirl. Three unanswered jabs by Andino standing directly in front of Leal.

Round 7

Andino is baiting Leal with gnat like jabs on the face, darting backward, then applying the brakes and reversing his momentum abruptly to lean his left shoulder into Leal's chin and throat, forcing Leal to heel and pull his punches while Andino pummels him with uppercuts from down by his knees. Crazy but clever (as it's working) stuff from Andino. Leal just loading up and jumping in with his punches, no real strategy to his efforts.

Both lads are Buenos Aires natives which is why there are people on their seat's edge yelling for both. I half expect a wrasslin' style chant (in English) to start up any minute, "Let's go Christian // Let's go Juan!"

 

Round 8

Andino is continuing to make Leal look slow and foolish. Andino being careful to just knead him a few times with the jab and get moving, always giving Leal a skinny and stingy target by turning three quarters away from him and using lots of quick flops and leans whenever Leal trots in near enough to punch. Andino carrying both gloves down between his knees in a gorilla stance and frustrating Leal at every turn, slipping punches or clinching before Leal can every mount a rally.
