Browne will probably buy some tainted meat from clenelo and mount a comeback in las vagas with a chiselled physique that will be the envy of aj. Bob Bennett and Suleiman will have the up most faith that big daddy is 100% clean
That stoppage of Buglioni slightly marred proceedings, I felt. I was pulling for Callum, but people don't pay money to see a fight waved off as soon as a guy staggers. Buglioni was the champ, deserved a proper chance to weather that early storm. British boxing, man. Even on a good night, there always has to be something.
He’ll return to playing Rugby in Australia, he’s way too old and out of shape to play Rugby League at any level but there’s a good 5 years of top level Rugby Union in him!!
Tough man, Took a hell of a lot of punishment before he went down. Levels tho, You need more than just power when you step up the levels. You can't just steam roll people like you can tomatoes can's who are intimidated by you and react accordingly, I noticed Browne smiling a number of times during the fight in acknowledgement of the levels when whyte was showing that he always 2 steps ahead out thinking out smarting him nothing he was doing was working, total domination. Whyte showed great patience and discipline in this fight even when he had browne hurt a couple of times,he remained patient a reminder you can't just stream roll people because you feel like it when emotions run high, An emotional man is a predictable man. That said i don't see whyte beating wilder or joshua but who knows he's certainly improving at fast rate.
I wondered though after his op after AJ fight if he’d ever get back to anything like,it’s taken a long while but he certainly has,his body punching is the best of any HW imo,his defence was by and large good and his jab was dominating.
He can still make some good money at the lower levels. As long as his team keep him away from prospects and the top guys.
Agreed, he also mixed his punches up well showing great variety and decent hand speed. He went body to head with power shots a number of times with the left hand and was pretty accurate.
Good to see that the big man is 'ok'. It sounds as though he is one of the genuine nice guys within the sport. But saying that, he was woeful against Whyte and shouldn't ever fight again. Chisora, Joyce and even young Dubois could of stopped him last night
Get in shape and fight a couple of bums and call it a day, That way he can at least go out not looking like my avatar. Nobody want's to end their career going out like that.
Fair play to the big man lasting as long as he did but he looked a beaten man heading back to the corner after round 1. He was far too slow for Whyte and was constantly there to be hit with that right hand, I’m actually surprised it was a left that eventually took him out. I thought the corner should’ve been considering the towel a couple of rounds before the KO came Hope he’s OK and has made enough money to get out of the game
