Interesting to see how Whyte does against an opponent who's there to win and is not sub-british level.
I had to laugh about Whytes comment about the resume of Lucas Browne. Whyte fought who exactly apart from AJ, Chisora and Helenius? Then he talked about past prime Chagaev but Whyte vs 40yo Minto and 39yo Tann. LOL! I don't know but for me the resume of Browne is nearly as strong as Whytes. If we excluding AJ he has Chisora and Helenius prob as his best wins. Browne has Chagaev and Rudenko. I do not see a big difference here in quality tbh. Whytes resume is slightly better due to fighting AJ but i am sure Browne would have taken the fight also if he got the chance. Overall Whyte is looking a bit dumb. The talk about the whole doping thing is not going in his favor. Browne looked really relaxed and i don't think he used PEDs on purpose, he never looked ripped or something, he has almost the same body composition for years now. As i wrote i like Browne. Seems like an intelligent and sympathic person.
It seems as if Whyte is trying to rile Browne and get in his head, and judging by Browne's calm demeanour, Whyte is failing miserably on this front. He tried the same thing on Joshua in one of the press conferences to their fight -- basically deriding Joshua as a bodybuilder and accusing him of being on PED's -- causing Joshua to make Whyte look and sound silly by retorting that Whyte was the one who failed a drugs test and served a suspension.
Obviously I’m biased, I’m his manager... but his win over Chagaev in Chechnya is far greater than anything Whyte has accomplished to date. Sure Chagaev wasn’t prime, I’m not disputing that. But he was coming off a first round KO and the “external pressures” were far far greater than anything Whyte has faced or that this fight brings.
Whyte looks like he really don’t know what to make of Browne, lucas’s Calm demeanour seems to get under whytes skin, plus the bit out about being a huge puncher whyte seem’s to have realised he is now in the ring with the biggest puncher he has faced since he was knocked out cold.
i had to laugh at the end of that, 'lucas isnt dumb, theres a brain in there somewhere' wow, i bet browne is on cloud nine after getting the seal of approval from dilian whyte about his intelligence. its like jimmy savile telling you youre good with kids.
Not sure you can comment on any 'external pressures' Whyte has faced...... Unless you were his manager.
