Lucas has a right to defend himself. Although a lie detector test isn't admissible, passing one does give him something to springboard off of. And this will help, giving VADA hair follicle samples. They can go back and detail a much longer timeline and confirm whether he had/has any doping history.

The counterpoint is that this will not be the first time a doper has profusely denied cheating. And there have been stronger denials in the past. Just putting it into context.

From a fan point of view I think he has a pretty good case, I've read a lot of excuses for doping over the years, but this is the first one I actually believe the athlete is 100% innocent.

Hopefully he gets to keep the belt, but unfortunately a positive result is a postive result and all Browne and his team can do is at best provide circumstantial evidence.

i feel sorry for browne in this case

i dont beleive he knowingly took clenbuterol / but he will be stripped and banned / although i hope only for 6 months and not 2 years.

the fact that chagaev will get the belt and browne will not be allowed to rematch again makes me feel browne is hard done by / i wont blame anyone as no one has any proof / spiked food drink/ animals which has been given clenbuterol / etc etc.

i usually dont give the benefit of the doubt / but in this case if browne passed a surprise test 6 days previously / why would he take a drug that would not clear his system when he knows he has a test coming on fight night.

Let's hope he doesn't shave his armpits, that is to say that the hair there is old enough.

Btw, I think most posters against him don't realize that all the drugs and doping you do stays in the hair, so testing it can give a full picture for the last three months or so.

Not sure I understand the 'he was drugged - why would he take weight-cutting supplements?' argument. It makes no logical sense, because it can also be applied to the supposed culprits of this spiking.

Surely if someone doped him they'd make sure it was something that didn't pose that question?

The counter is that clen is easily ingested. It's the stock denial for clen, I ate bad beef. It's because it actually happens that way because clen is used in raising livestock. It's an obvious answer for actual cheaters because innocents have actually gotten tainted by eating tainted beef. That doesn't mean cheaters can get off using this excuse though. For ex. Alberto Contador.

I'm curious, why hasn't the WBA stripped him yet and restored it to Chagaev? When Toney won over Ruiz and popped positive, Ruiz had the belt back a week or 2 after the fight.

Browne has a right to dispute the charge against him.

I'm a damn good human lie detector, I can spot bull**** a mile away, so this validates what I've known all along, that he was telling the truth from day one. Now go ahead and mock me for this statement, but I trust my judgment in this regard, more than any of yours.

This is hilarious. Browne got conned by the KGB/FSB/Chechnian guys, now tries to use a lie detector test to gain back some credibility? He got conned, he needs to get over it. He should have known what he was in for after Oquendo was tested positive as well.

Valium along with a Beta Blocker will make you pass 9 out of 10 tests. Too bad they test for those drugs before administering the lie detector.

Cast your minds back a few years .... Steroid Shane Mosely claimed to have passed polygraph tests proving he knew nothing about how the drugs got into his system. People were told to apologize to him for accusing him of cheating. BUT then BALCO came forward with receipts bearing Moselys name & John Henry on them so he was forced to come clean & admit he CHEATED !!! Was he ever punished ?? NO he was allowed to get away with it & is today being hailed as a Shoo in for the HOF induction ??:patsch:patsch:patsch:think Boxing isn't corrupt is it ?? :smoke

Mosely is an ATG that's why he's going to the hall of fame. I don't believe Lucas Browne and he'll have nobody to blame when he gets stripped.
