Browne would need to get a WBO top 15 ranking for Parker to be able to defend against him. Kuzmin isn't WBO top 15 either, last I looked anyway. Rankings aren't always logical or predictable. Is it likely a win against Kuzmin will achieve Browne a top 15 WBO ranking?

I suspect if Browne beats Kuzmin he will magically appear in the WBO top 15, opening the door for Parker-Browne early next year.

I think I know why Browne chose Kuzmin. Browne was offered good money for this fight and he thinks Kuzmin will be an easy fight which will have him ranked amongst WBO and that will give him an opportunity to fight against Parker.

And for those who don't know, back in February Kuzmin's camp made an offer to Chisora for a fight against Kuzmin but he rejected because he thought that he is past that level and he wanted huge money to go to Russia(Because of scandal with Browne obviously). Also, Rekowski and Mollo were offered fight against Kuzmin some 6 months or so ago but they all rejected because they wanted big money to fly to Russia. Mollo was offered 8 k to fight Kuzmin, that was right before he accepted the second fight with Zimmonch. If I remember correctly Abell was offered fight as well.

Duco appear to be playing it smart by keeping Joseph Parker's options open. They know Eddie Hearn will play hardball with them next year and the best way to strengthen their bargaining position is to have other alternatives in place.

Though Browne-Kuzmin is for the vacant WBA Inter-Continental heavyweight title, should Browne win, it could also secure him an all important WBO top 15 ranking.

This would open the door to the possibility of a WBO title fight for Browne with Parker next year, and if that doesn't come off, Browne could instead pursue the WBA route, having claimed the WBA Inter-Continental heavyweight title.

There is some smart positioning going on here. But it is reliant on Browne beating Kuzmin.

Yeas, it is. I am curious to know who he will spar for a fight with Kuzmin. I know that Kuzmin has sparred with Povetkin at least 3 times before and is probably sparring with him now.

Suprised so many are picking Kuzmin. I favor Bronwe in a long fight but I would like to see Kuzmin win. I just think Kuzmin does not have good conditioning.

Kuzmin has only fought 44 rounds in the pro ranks and Browne has a decent set of whiskers. The longer the fight goes the more chance Browne wins IMO.

    Browne is VADA CBP enrolled:

With his two previous positive tests I would be surprised if VADA don't test him.

Well he has gone 8 rounds without any stamina issues and he has gone 10 rounds without any issues, so I don't see any problems appearing here.

Well, his amateur career will erase his inexperience as a pro, he has gone multiple rounds without a head guard in amateurs and was very successful as an amateur, so no problem here. Also, he has gone 8 and 10 rounds in pro ranks.

I'm surprised that Browne has so many votes. Guy is there to be hit and Kuzmin has the power and skills to turn Brown into pink pulp. Too bad Browne doesn't pay any attention to defence, brain damage waiting to happen.
