According to Aus Boxing it looks like it's on they're just awaiting Parkers signature. Decent scrap, big daddy got power, but Parker dismantles n stops him late. Good fight where Parker can actually look decent and showcase himself after a subpar looking run (don't get me wrong all decent scalps, just tough fights for the man).
Browne being not-WBO ranked is another potential hurdle, but I like the idea of the fight and it's very winnable by Parker - would bring a LOT of interest in this part of the world and would be a nice scalp for his resume as well as a fight which will be more flattering to his style, I suspect. I can't see Parker vs Wilder or AJ happening anytime soon.... at least going from some of Duco's comments, I think they're really overvaluing their leverage of having a belt when AJ brings two to the negotiation table and by FAR the bigger draw in terms of audience numbers. Wilder, sure - closer to 50:50 makes sense. I'm surprised Bryant Jennings isn't being mentioned more as I suspect that may be the most realistic option on the table unless Browne gets WBO ranked, stat.
According to Sky Parker has an agreement in principle with Browne and has exchanged emails with Hearn. Apparently Wilder made them an offer which wasn't good enough. Which is standard for Wilders team. Jennings is also an option as is a multi million dollar offer to go to China. Lots of options for Parker it seems.
Not at all, Browne is trying to peer pressure them into it by jumping the gun and making it look like Parker is dodging him - they're negotiating the best deal for them overall. Every option on their table would make for a step up fight for Wilder, so as long as they stick to those names they're not exactly dodging anyone lol
