    Spot on Roscoe.
Don't know much about Browns personality but he gets big wraps from most corners about being a decent fella.
If he knuckles down in boxing he could bring a lot of color to the HW div and spark it up a bit.

I dont think the HW title mention is any worse that SBW/Mundine claming he is the next Ali. Perhaps they have taken a feather from Mundine camps cap however in saying that i think Brown can defeat ****** Whitehead (AUS champ) who has only had 5 pro fights himself, noted he did have an extensive amateur career, not sure about Brown in that regard but i think it would be a good scrap.

If the guys had a rematch John would win easy...he just fought the wrong fight...if he boxed and moved for 3 rounds he would stop Lucas as he's just not fit enought to go 6 rounds

Congratz to Lucas but IMO I dont see him beating any of the top 10 HW's in AUST :blood

Lucas looked much better in that tag team boxing in penrith a couple years ago,He looks much heavier,I think he's starting to believe the hype and not training hard,I suppose its all you can expect from him for his 3rd fight, but he needs to hit the gym harder lose a couple o kilo's and be in better shape.Right now I think he wouldn't catch sonny bill and lose on points.

I'm not giving any praise to Lucas Ashley, but "Fighting the wrong fight" is often lost in translation.

The fundamental principal of winning rounds is to force your opponent to "Fight the wrong fight"

It's not always that easy to jab your way to victory in this division when a bowlo is all that's needed to win.

John fought the only fight he could, quick combinations off the jab & hold, but once that jab starts going over the left shoulder, he's gunna get caught, & that's what happened, I might add, brownes jab is not exactly a pat either.

But give Lucas a bit of credit. That was his 3rd professional fight FFS, John has had a dozen.

Yeah fair enough...but if you count Brownes MMA fightes he on about the same level as John...I thought John went looking for him too much early in the fight instead of trying to land the jab with power and staying at his range....some credit to Browne was his jab....fast with good power...IMO both guys need to work on balance and footwork...I think a rematch would be good

Experience has taught me that the obvious is never always easy to achieve & teaching old dogs new tricks makes it even more remote.

You can blame Ali for setting a standard in heavyweight footwork that few can aspire to.

I think people would be quite surprised at how many good match-ups there is out there in this division. I can't remember when it's ever been this densely populated.

szigeti looks like a lot more skilled fighter than browne by a long shot ! , szigeti just wasnt bringing that jab back quick enough , balance and holding ! ...as for "BIG DADDY" most top 10 heavies in australia will beat him.. comes forward, can be easily timed , only throw 1,2 punch combos, doesnt counter, lazy !
