Over the past 10 years or so bouncers have gone from knock them down carry them out artists to negotiators and diplomats. I think the fact there are CCT cameras everywhere has a lot o do with that.

Aaaaargh ,, The good old days when bouncers , coul get accussed or charged and no cctv to back them up .

Can remember has if it was last night , 30 odd years ago , when working a door , a peanut was pinching womens handbags , taking them to the toilet and relieving them of anything of value , .

A boyfreind saw him , followed him ,and confronted him in the toilet . For his trouble he got his face slashed ,from temple to jaw line , my workmate got there and tackled the guy , they ended up in the foyer , i got there just has he was going for his second stab in my mates stomach .

He lunged at me , but was'nt quick enough , i snotted him he went down , and i picked up , a heavy iron chair that was in the foyer and procceded to try and break it on his head .

Police came , ambulances came for the punter and my mate , and all the customers were shouting at the police to lock me up , cos that bouncer hit him with a chair , so he's a **** , Thing is it was touch and go for a while , just lucky that the punter and my workmate were able to describe what had gone on ,

His defence was , he was going home and i just jumped him , and the facking police believed him , they even suggested to the punter that he was identifiying the wrong bloke , did'nt seem to give a fack about all the womens jewelry and **** he had in his pockets . .

Aargh mis them days , when I put my life on the line , protecting joe public and pissed wankers, from other violent wankers

The death of David Hookes at the hands of a bouncer and former pro boxer outside a pub about 10 years ago seems to have had a lot to do with the different approach of current day bouncers. I've seen some amazing restraint exercised by bouncers in the past few years that in days gone by would have seen a far quicker, more 'efficient' solution applied.

Browne comes across as a thoughtful, down to earth sort of bloke. Not what most people would expect from a giant bald bloke covered in tatts.

I wonder if there is a problem though as he has been through a lot of managers and trainers in a short time ?

He definatly breaks the mould in the way that he talks and conducts himself. Also, you dont hear many fighters these days openly talk about their limitations or lack of a certain ability, I find his honesty refreshing instead of trying to bullsh*t his way through interviews.

People in the know can see through the bull**** anyway. So why bother with it?

Browne seem to have no illusions.

On the main forum hearing Eddie Chambers could be next for Browne on the Fury vs Chisora under-card, July 26th in Manchester.

chambers is too slick for browne. He needs someone that likes to take chances, most likely eddie outboxes him to a ud, browne movement is way to slow for a slickster like chambers

Browne already shot this down on Twitter, he said Hatton is lining up an opponent for a Comm title defence.

Browne doesn't seem to need to hit them very often to get the job done.
