Lucas Martin Matthysse, who lost recently to Zab Judah in a close controversial fight, will return earlier next year to face journeyman Demarcus Corley is a both comeback and stay busy fight for the Argentinian. If he can beat Corley in a more impressive fashion than his 140 counterparts Devon Alexander and Marcos Maidana, then this sets up the possibility of a title shot for Matthysse or a fight with a high ranking 140 pounder.

    Good fight for Matthysse?
Can he beat Corely in a more impressicve fashion than Alexander or Maidana?
Will it lead him to a title shot?

No COrley is a journeyman/gatekeeper not, although I heard he got jobbed in his last fight. Alexander dominated him 2 years ago, Maidana had a few troubles with him according to reports. But still a win over Corley these days doesnt earn much and doesnt earn a title shot

if he can knockout corley it makes a statement.

maidana couldn't do it, yet he garnered a reputation as a huge puncher. if matthysse knocks corley out it says something about his power. it also offers an insight into zab at the new weight being able to handle pressure.

Although surely it tops any win Matthysse has to date?

I'd like to see Matthysse in another big fight if he wins.

I would not be surprised to see another robbery decision on Corley's resume
