Arnett is decent. He is one of Canelo's main sparring partners.

    Round 1

Tavera misses an overhand right barging in and tries to hook with Arnett, but gets hit before he's wound his left is even halfway wound. Arnett's hands are shockingly fast in stark comparison to Tavera's. Right hand lead by Arnett, slipping on the Corona logo as Tavera backs away. Tony Weeks is in there to pry them apart when they're idling on the inside, not quite clinched but leaned together. Arnett is squeezing his forearms together, keeping Tavera's face in a vice grip, blocking all of Tavera's uppercuts. LEAD RIGHT HAND TO THE JAW by Arnett, stunning Tavera badly and backing him to a corner. Another right hand by Arnett. Tavera circles to his left, wary. Tavera steps forward trying a lead hook, and Arnett clomps him with a right over the top. Arnett's quickness and power looks to be too much for Tavera.

    10-9 Arnett

Jesus Tavera fights like every negative stereotype of Mexican boxers.

Great news, actually looking forward to those two fights more than Ward vs Dawson even though that is the more important fight.

    Round 2

Arnett is landing to the body, letting Tavera come to him and make it easier to score under and between his elbows and above his gloves. Arnett is getting his fast hands in just about everywhere Tavera can legally be hit. Especially with that right hand over the top. Now Tavera begins to concede territory, with Arnett's work rate increasing as he steps forward. Tavera's knees buckle from a quick Arnett left. Tavera tries to swat at his head with a high left and Arnett turns into it, then battles in the clinch as Tavera leans into him. Slick head movement by Arnett while keeping his eyes fixed down on Tavera and smacking him in the pocket as they tiptoe in short circle in the middle of the ring.

    10-9 Arnett

    20-18 Arnett
