    Matthysse down, slip. Matthysse is working his way in with high jabs. Peterson is all nervous energy, casting a fishing line jab and then jerking back and ducking while gyrating his shoulders. Too many defensive ideas jumbled around in Peterson's mind all together. BIG hooking combo by Matthysse. Peterson loops a right hand into Matthysse's skull and leans in to clinch when it doesn't slow Matthysse down. BIG right hand over the top by Matthysse, blocked but forceful. Peterson keeps trying to clinch. Matthysse and Smoger thwart him with shrug-offs and cautions respectively. Peterson tries hooking with him. MISTAKE. Peterson is dropped very hard. He takes a long time responding to Smoger. Peterson drifts to the ropes, like a deer in headlights. Matthysse throws a lunging hook and right hand, just shy. Matthysse lands another big hook. Peterson is down and out.
