Lucas Martin Matthysse vs. Roberto Ortiz RBR

Round 1

Matthysse is circling left, catching jabs on the forearms or sidestepping them. Matthysse wipes down with his right glove to knock down Ortiz's jab. Body shots by Ortiz, bending in with jabs and hooks on the breadbasket. Long right on the body by Matthysse. Ortiz is hitting the body in twos and threes and using lateral movement as Matthysse jabs in on him and chops with hard rights. Ortiz ducks in and catches a Matthysse body hook on his outer elbow, then taps a few light body shots in himself before backing out. Looping right by Ortiz at the bell.

Round 2

Matthysse is jabbing up through Ortiz's gloves and hooking the body as he gets close. Ortiz tries being first and last in the exchanges with uppercuts and overhands but has to flee and cover up. Matthysse slips a right uppercut and takes a clapping right on the shoulder. Ortiz is backing up and roping out light right hands on the face of Matthysse, scoring but not doing any damage. HARD body shot by Matthysse. Ortiz down. Twenty seconds left. Ortiz chooses to remain on his knees until after the count of nine, then quickly straightens his legs - but is waved off anyway!
