Taylor needs a good work rate ,he has to be first and use a steady jab to bank in some rounds.

I'm expecting him to be robbed by the judges.

A borderline call. Ref could have let it continue.

But that said, the call was good. Right on the line. He reached nine and then, the wave of the hands was equivalent to ten. Ortiz was 'ready' at exactly 10.

And if you don't want to be KO'd, you don't let the count reach 10.

He cut it too close, and he paid the price.

    Academic, anyway.

Even if he'd been given the benefit of continuing, he didn't look strong.
A more brutal stoppage was coming down the pipeline. :yep

I don't think Broner has power above Lightweight. I honestly think Cayo and Mayfield are bigger punchers at the weight than Broner.

I think you mean Slimm Honkee. We're only allowed to use rap names for anyone mentioned in this fight besides the fighters themselves.

He's right, actually. Ortiz didn't start rising until a half a beat after Esteves said nine. He was technically up on wobbly legs at what would have been ten, but he was in no way shape or form standing fully upright and ready to go at that moment that would have been ten if Esteves had finished saying it.

He "beat the count" only technically, in a sense that doesn't really matter and isn't how it works. (though some fans seem to think they know better than a seasoned championship referee)

I'm expecting Broner to win a decision, I don't see him getting a stoppage is all I'm saying.
