Uh. I've been away from ESB for awhile, something about my password.

Had the opportunity to watch his latest fight and I was very impressed with Matthyse's performance, especially being introduced to the fighter for the first or second time. Really put me on a sojourn from boxing as I disagreed with the decision, and it put a spotlight on all the ways Andreas Kotelnik had succeeded, but fell short in other's eyes, crisp flush blows versus Alexander's volume, which was lacking in this fight.

Firstly, does anyone know why this was a ten round bout to begin with? Seemed like one of the better matches lately, I'd watch it over Ortiz-Berto, if not for the retribution for wrangling glory.
It was in the seventh round when I said, taking into consideration that Alexander was being hit at will for two and a half rounds, that Alexander has got to win the next round to salvage any hope of a decision, with the powers that may, in St. Louis. Alexander did just that and stayed competitive, it was his best round after he fell apart (Devon was having a nervous episode in the ring), or at least appeared to be in the fight, but it wasn't a meaningful comeback after that round, and it sure as heck wasn't a Marquez-Katsidis champion level rally. Matthyse fought like a champion and deserved to be recognized.

I had Mathysse ahead comfortably without the early knockdown by the end of it. Any word on an appeal to the commission for a unanimous three judge panel to watch the fight recorded, because that fight was a UD for Matthyse in any other arena :( I've heard of such overturned decisions before. I'd go as far as to say the judge who had a four point decision for Alexander iirc was patently dishonest, and that's what had me take a break from the sport.

Any fight recommendations for viewing since then to re-ignite the faith in the sport?

That's a good statement. ElNinoChino. Clever username. Personally I can't wait for whoever killed the child Celina Cass as a will-breaker while the 4th legislative corporatist oligarchy ***** was being ushered in here, across the pond, gets theirs, them and those who claimed responsibility.

I thought he beat Judah, and he obviously won his last fight. He was just another foreign fighter robbed in America.
