both guys beat each other up in the brutal fight... lucas's eye looked ****ed... and garcia was pissing blood and was hit like never before... both guys are tough but might have damaged each other prematurely in their careers.

If Danny so confident he'd rematch Herrera or Lucas.

 

Danny and Lucas will most likely have a rematch later this year, Golden Boy are safe booking, Garcia has said he's having 1 more fight at 140 and Lucas is banging the drum for a rematch.

Like I said, Lucas is just talking himself up about his fight with Danny. He don't want to prove himself against Herrera. Another granite chin he can't crack, and would get thoroughly out boxed while settling for having to cry about another robbery.

Also, for anyone who thinks there aren't official haters in the industry for Garcia, read that article. He say the only reason Danny beat Lucas was because of running, holding, elbow to the eye, and low blows. And to think, someone had to sign off on that article for it to be published...proof that those with voices in the industry can be just as pathetic haters as the fans, smh.

 

Herrera is the champion, he beat Garcia....................

Those fights weren't close, Danny's fights against Herrera and Matthysse were though which is why they warrant rematches.

 

I'll give you couple good reasons why it's acceptable for Danny not care (and I don't care) if he rematches them or not.

Lucas- they said he would never fight him, that he would be brutally KO'd if he did. Danny does fight him, and proves them dead wrong. Danny was never in real in danger, jacks's up Lucas's eye, drops him, highly competitive in every round, and wins clearly on the cards. Guess what, he still got very little respect from them, so at this point, if you were Danny, would you care about appeasing them?

Herrera- Simply put, the dinner table has been set for a robbery. Majority yelling as loud as they can that a robbery took place in their first fight. I know I didn't see a robbery but, it doesn't matter, the masses have spoke. They want their blood, and at this level, whether they're deserving of it or not, they may get it. Boxing is a sport always fighting for it's validity against corruption, so if Herrera just fights similar to the way he did in their first fight, his "vindication" win may just be handed to him.

Herrera got too many points just for advancing, looking poised, and having a sharp jab. Danny landed the more significant blows in easily the majority of rounds, but since people didn't expect Herrera to be that capable, they gave him brownie points that they now wanna turn into real points. If I were Danny, I wouldn't be so sure that the official judges would actually be judging a rematch...

 

I honestly thought Matthysse would KO "Swift" (the most effeminate nickname in boxing, btw). But it was a very close fight. Take away the thumb to the eye though and things could have ended differently. A rematch would be a great idea, imo. Great for boxing.
