Seriously guys, enough with this ****.

I know everyone thinks Zab is a useless piece of ****, but he beat Matthysse fair and square. Scoring that fight Round by Round can only lead to an extremely close fight, regardless of who everyone thinks got the better of whom.

He was not "wronged" he just lost a close fight.

I believe the Judah fight could have went either way, but I scored it for Lucas. The thing is, Lucas won his rounds decisively, while Zab eked out rounds he won. In order to score that fight for Zab, you really have to give him the benefit of the doubt in rounds where not much happened.

The Alexander fight on the other hand, was highway robbery. 6 rounds to 4 for Matthysse, plus a knockdown, and another round won decisively enough where it could arguably warrant a 10-8 score.

And enough with this ****...just admit it..you hate Lucas Matthysse. Never thought I'd see the day when your dislike for a fighter superseded your dislike for Miguel Cotto.

Matthyse is a better boxer than Garcia in my opinion. His ability will set up his power to take Danny out. I think Danny is actually overrated.

I think Matthyssé is the better boxer in this match-up. I think he's improved since the Judah and Alexander fights - he's not a completely different fighter or anything but he seems to be using his boxing skills a little more instead of going all-out for the knockout. This has actually led to the ko's coming to him a little more naturally.

I might be underrating Garcia but I just don't see anything special there. He's a good all-round fighter with a powerful left-hook but he doesn't stand out in any one department. I don't think he can outbox Lucas and he doesn't have the versatility to exchange with him and get the better of it.

Nice interview though. Learned a few things about him.

everyone seems to forget that the Judah and Alexander fights were both 10 rounders. i 100% confident that if theyre would have been 12rnds both judah and alexander were getting KOd

The Judah fight was actually a 12 rounder. But yeah, Alexander-Matthysse was a 10 rounder, as was Alexander-Maidana.

I never said anything about Alexander. I left his name out for a reason. I think Matthysse clearly won that fight. That decision was almost as bad as Cotto-Clottey. :good

 And yeah, I would root for Cotto over Matthysse any day. Wait... Did I just say that? :patsch

Think again... Zab took his ass 12 Rounds. Stop making excuses. He won the fight fair and square.

The Alexander fight was a title eliminator and 12 rounds but Don King changed it to 10 rounds two or three days before the fight as an advantage for Devon only adding to the robbery.

Aww.. **** you. Clottey squandered his chances in the championship rounds. Plus getting dropped by jabs and what not didn't help matters either. :yep

    Wow...

Pretty sure Lucas has said he would now only be trying for KO's. Anyway, he has many reason's to feel he needs a KO, as most would agree as that's all they talk about. My assumption is evidenced by far more than just this article. I think the only way Lucas settles for the score card is if he feels there's a good chance of him being KO'd by continuing to press...I do have that as being unlikely.

So just because he doesn't knock them out he can't punch? He dropped both on their asses and had them in survival mode at some point. Especially Alexander who's never been dropped or been with anyone stronger than him. Lucas had less experience than both, never been at that level, admitted he started too late against both, and now is an improved fighter. He lost controversial fights to Judah and Alexander when Lucas was green, now he'll whup them both if they dare rematch him. Take that to the bank.

    Good post NBA.

While I personally scored the fight for Lucas by 2 points, and I called it a robbery at the time, Im embarrassed for doing so b/c since that fight Ive scored countless other close fights and always have to stifle the crybabies for crying robbery. Even gotta shush myself now and then when a guy like Malik Scott gets a draw in a fight he clearly wins 8 rds in.:-(
