Lucas Matthysse opens up @ close to 3-1 favorite vs Danny Garcia

was planning on betting this fight but wow.....this is very big. It almost seems like Vegas is DARING you to take Danny.

 

The Brit bookies have Matty at 4/9 and Garcia the opposite at 9/4. Much better odds if you want to make money of a Matthysse win.

And the reason the odds in Vegas are that way is that Matthysse is receiving incredible hype, and a lot of people are buying into it, driving the odds the way they are.


Garcia at 3/1 is a good bet.

 

Worth putting some spare change on Garcia. Can't see it, though. Maybe he'll crack Matthysse with a big left hook but Matthysse has a good chin and will move straight into his own counter right hand.

I won't downplay the skills of Lucas or Danny. They are both very good fighters and I see it as a 50/50 proposition. I just happen to like Danny's boxing style better than the style of Lucas so I'm rooting for Danny. WAR DANNY!!!

 

Love these odds, gonna make some bank. Garcia is a much more rounded fighter who's solid all around and has intangibles like an iron chin, the rare ability to adapt mid round and an overall ring IQ that puts Matthysse's to shame. People fall in love with power punchers (Garcia arguably hits just as hard) and I'm happy they do because they tilted these odds against logic. Garcia will win this fight in impressive fashion, too many tools, too smart.
