Lucas is a bad man, but not that bad. Kostya would beat him.

Here is the thing. Kostya is a unique kind of fighter. He loves fighting boxers because of his amazing timing. Never been outboxed.

However, his weakness has always been one type of fighter. The relentless pressure fighter with skills & toughness. That's where 2 of his losses came from. Matthysse is the type of fighter that would give Kostya hell and could possibility knock him out.

Huge Zoo fan, but if Lucas chin held up could/would be trouble.

Not entirely true. Zoo lost to Hatton when he was old (and that fight was close and very very dirty). Hatton's youth and hometown advantage won that fight.

Vince Phillips was way more skillful than Lucas M. I also wouldn't really characterize Phillips as a pressure fighter, he was more of a boxer-puncher. We should also ask which Zoo is Lucas fighting because he improved after his loss to Phillips.

I would take Zoo by hard-fought decision (like an 8-4 decision).

Prime Kostya beats Lucas I think, and wins comfortably enough on points, but that would be a hell of a lot of fun to watch!

Kostya was way better in his early career, declined midcareer abandoning alot of his skills especially on defense then tried to get back to his old self after the Phillips loss.

I somewhat agreee. Zoo was trying to bomb out every opponent and that backfired big time in the Phillips fight. I'm not sure when Zoo was absolute peak, I mean he did struggle against Hector Lopez early in his career.

I feel Kostya would not try and bomb out Lucas but outbox him. Kostya in his prime probably punches harder than Lucas but is also the better boxer. Kostya would get Lucas' respect and Lucas would get Kostyas' respect. It would be a high level boxing match and not an all out slugfest (although the fight would be very entertaining to say the least).

Kostya would edge him out because he has better skills IMO.

Ironically, Tszyu's prime was actually when he got older and seems to have everything together both figuratively (his titles) and physically.

The younger Tszyu was relentless but also way too careless.

The KT that outboxed Ben Tackie and smashed Mitchell would surely provide Lucas with angles and variety of punches. Plus he has the power to make Mathysse respect him and not just plow forward.

I'd say Tszyu by a clear decision, in a 116-112 manner, since I'm a firm believer that Lucas has a cast-iron chin as well.

KT was smashing up guys on Lucas' level 4 or 5 fights into his career, and was leagues more skilled than Matthyse. If you want to see prime KT you need to look at his very early career, he stayed amateur way too long. He would have splatted him facedown and completely out, different level of fighter.

What i wrote is what iv heard Kostya say and looking over his career its pretty evident. He started just looking to knock guys out, knew he had a good chin and stopped caring about defense and got away from his boxing. After the Phillips loss he rededicated himself to being a complete fighter and using everything he did from his amateur and eary pro career.
