This is a bs myth, anybody that has watched him know he has very underrated boxing skills.I'll give peterson credit if he beats him fairly without any controversy, don't think lucas trust judges anymore though(He won't need them).

Peterson is more versatile, and on paper could win, but based on the tape I think Mathysse has the most success coming forward.

Matthysse by knockout or TKO. The referee and judges will do what they can to give PEDerson a win, taking points away from Matthysse, calling a knockdown a slip, same as when he cheated Khan. Wonder if PEDerson will be juiced up like he was against Khan?

Here are the odds: Lucas Matthysse is a -225 favorite to defeat IBF jr welterweight champion Lamont Peterson (+175)

Matthysse by late TKO (around the 10th).

I strongly believe Lucas will try to force the issue if the fight is even remotely close in the later rounds. He has been on the wrong end of a decision twice now against an American in the US, so he will do anything in his power to prevent this bout from going to the cards I figure.

After watching Mathysse-Soto and parts of Peterson-Cayo, I think that contrary to popular belief, Mathysse may have the more functional defense. At the very least on the inside. Peterson seems to put ear muffs on and stand straight up, open to body shots and punches that split or loop around the guard. Mathysse on the other hand slips shots and parries them really well. On the outside Peterson has a better jab but always brings it back low. He's going to eat a hard right over it sooner or later.

First 2 seconds of the video:

He was doing that **** constantly against Holt.

(Someone wanna make a gif please.)

Good stuff. Peterson is open to get hit and he may touch the canvas in this fight, but I don't think there is any stopping him. Whether he can adjust to certain things Lucas is doing is something we have to see, I feel he has the ability to do so.
