It's possible, but I don't know if he's exactly an unstoppable force. His best bet is to circle away from the right hand, avoid dropping the left jab (though this is unlikely), and control the center while jumping in on the inside to land quick combinations before getting out. He doesn't have the defense to win an inside fight against Mathysse.

I mainly just want a good fight, but Peterson has the tools to win...

If Lucas pulls it out, he's the king at 140, don't care who has the belt... I don't see an early KO, so that means Lucas would have to find a way to outbox him... If he pulls that off, its a wrap

 

I see Lucas starting fast, with combinations to the head and body, but not really landing... I even see Lamont getting knocked down

But eventually, he'll get the timing, and start countering Lucas... It'll be a neck and neck fight... Probably a controversial decision

What do people see in Matthysse? He knocked out a few cab drivers and they think he's a hard puncher.

 

I'm picking Mathysse to drop Peterson and get a comfortable points win.

I'm going underdog, I think travel may have affected Matthysse and every time he has made a step up in opposition, he hasn't been as destructive. Peterson by UD
