Lucas will not attend any of the Press Conferences.. Cancels the tour.. he's shook

matthysse and press tour dont go together...the guy is an introvert, who gives no effs for the razzle dazzle outside of the ring

 

I like Matthysse's concentration on his training. He has wanted to fight Garcia for a long time no and he is determined to do it. Before Matthysse fought Peterson, someone broke into Matthysse's house and stole is visa. Matthysse had to take a late plane and fight Peterson without any rest. Wonder if Garcia will have someone break into Matthysse's house? It's a long flight for Matthysse, takes way too much time away from his training..............

 

Matthysse can get away with this, but when and if he becomes a Main Event fighter, he'll have to tour whether he likes it or not. He won't become a future opponent for Floyd with antics like this. It is 5 weeks before the fight. Three days of touring wouldn't hurt him because he's been training. After training wtf is he doing? His fans here in America wanted to see him. He can still train at gyms during the tour.

I have never heard of a press tour for an UNDER CARD fight. That is just ridiculous! All the promotion should be handled by the headliners.

If Matthysse vs Garcia was the main event, the press tour would have happened two weeks before start of camp, not in the middle. Besides, if they want to do press, get on a conference call.

This fight needs no hype. Mattysse is getting a crack at mayweather after this brutal ko.

 

As long as the fight goes on, I could care less about the promotional tour. To me it's a big waste of time. Let the guys prepare for the fight and leave that promotional BS for the promoters. Show videos and what not of the fighters but, to expect guys to stop training and go on the road is a bit unrealistic. This is the fight of the night in my estimation.:happy

GOLDEN BOY RESCHEDULES GARCIA-MATTHYSSE PRESS TOUR


The Danny Garcia and Lucas Matthysse press tour that was scheduled to start momentarily was rescheduled. According to Richard Schaefer, Lucas is in the "boonies" in Argentina and didn't want to break camp. The press tour had stops in New York, Los Angeles and Puerto Rico. Now the stops will be New York and Philadelphia on August 22, and then on August 23 they hit Los Angeles to round out the 3 city event.
