Pretty much. The best of 168 were tied to the Super Six as soon as he rose to prominence in the division. There weren't really anyone decent for him to fight. He's making up for that as soon as the tournament finished, though. So for that he deserves a pat on the back.

And asking him why he's fighting in Canada all the time, is like asking Mayweather why he continues to fight in Vegas, or why the Klitschkos fight in Germany/Europe. The attendance and shows put on in Montreal, are red hot right now. Bute would be a mad man not to feast on the support that's available there.

 

people still underestimate Golovkin. Bute would be the favorite now @ 168 but Golovkin would be a real challange for Bute probably his biggest so far Golovkin has mad power and precision in his punches.

Here it goes according to Bute himself: "The first round was even. After the second, I thought I was leading by 2-3 points and, for my surprise, I lost it by 8 points. In the third round I rooted for the KO but I messed it up with too much haste and I lost 12 points. I became nervous and in the fourth round I was exhausted. Then Golovkin hit me with his right jab which floored me. I was up but the referee stopped the match."

 

Really? My fault then. I was reading the comments. Golovkin was top amateur! :good

 

And looking at the footage of the TKO Bute was still unsteady for a few minutes after the fight and the Referee had no choice to stop the fight,that was with Big Gloves and a head guard,dont underestimate Golovkins Power in both hands thats the reason he can not get fights and its a bloody tragedy we dont see more of this Fighter.!!!!

 

you know its not Bute's fault... and his managers tried everything to get a big fight with Ward which Ward refused to unify the titles for this reason: Bute never fought nobody LOL... This is so pathetic, refusing to unify the belts because he "fought nobody" I can't understand that

A recent interview with Jean Bedard, Bute's promoter, holds good news... relationship is described as improved between the bute and Ward clans. He talks about how he used social media to stir things up, get reactions and get things going with the Froch fight and the Ward situation. Also, he mentions that ward's promoter did not present a true picture to Andre about current discussions, reason enough for him to come back and make those, at first contradictory arguments. Personally, I don't think anybody is afraid of anybody at this level, it is ALL about the MONNEY!!!

U need explanations of why fights don't happen, why fighters fight in their hometown, why challangers don't get the titleshots when they desrve it ? Start by looking at the $$$!
