"Almost all great champions have lost at least once during their careers." This right here is for all you new to the game of boxing fans ! Another thing to consider is in this statement Bute was under the impression that he was going to win fairly easy ..The hype had got to him ..I don't care what his team said on Camera ..If he's going into this thinking this was going to be a cake walk he didn't have all that of an honest team ..I think this is why I got so much respect for Froch's coach Robert McKrackin .. Listen to him between rds ..He doesn't sugar coat a dam thing ..For Bute he had sugar coating with sprinkles on top in his corner imo ..I hope he can bounce back ..Boxing loves its comeback stories !
This lengthy, honest statement makes me dislike Bute a little less. He was a hypejob who should've gotten his first L from Librado Andrade, but he's real.
Regarding Froch being slow, he was hitting Bute with absolutely comical left-right-left-right hay-maker combos. I don't see how any pro gets hit with garbage like that.
God. Pure class. I'm speculating if Froch could catch him with the same type of barrage with much more wear, and once Bute had established a comfortable boxing rhythm, at his pace and distance without falling into harms way for so long. :think Froch does have a lot of endurance typically late in fights and is known for rallies. I honestly thought Bute could counter-punch and plain back-peddle his way out of hell early in a fight. He was hurt bad from something earlier, and I instantly thought there was no coming back from that clubbing right his head angled into with 20 seconds to go in the fourth.
To be fair, having missed out on the super six he had very little choice with his opponents, yes it was never elite but guys like Andrade and Miranda are nothing to sniff at whilst waiting for the elite to become available.
Bute: (ctd.) "People have tried to blame all sorts of things for my defeat. They've blamed my trainer [Larouche], they've blamed the strategy, they've blamed all sorts of other things and made all sorts of excuses. No! I alone was to blame for what happened in the ring." Bute (today) on the Fanatik Show
I believe he did right up until the moment he got hit with a decent shot, problem then was it was too late. I think Khan did something similar in his loss to Prescott. He seems like the kind of gut who needs a trainer who is going to light a fire up his ass every round of every fight.
Bute is awesome as ****, but it seriously sounds lik Froch traumatized him... But nevermind, this is keeping it real
