It seriously doesn't get any better than that. Wow, dude was so honest, and you feel for him. He doesn't he even know why, or that he would've gotten shell shocked or stage fright, or whatever psychological reason put him in that deer in head lights phase...
He's got character and class, can't beat that.
Wasn't a Bute fan, but how can you not like the guy.

    Very classy.

But if he chocked this bad then what happens in the rematch when he remembers how bad he got beat up in their first fight?

Gutted for Bute. Classy guy. He is better than what we saw against Froch. Froch was amazing though, total beast.

Now if his fans will just shut the **** up, bute will have doubled his fan base with this loss.

If the dipshits come back, then Bute still loses.

Really frank and from the heart interview that deserves respect. Personally I think he got caught early in that second round and that took some of the fight out of him, however most importantly, I believe the loss was more down to Froch performing at the top of his game. That straight right was near perfect and was thrown the whole fight.

Incidentally, the idiots mentioning words like 'glass jaw' are beyond contempt. You have no knowledge of boxing and should be banned as you are incapable of adding anything of any value to a discussion about something you know nothing about. Would love some of these elite fighters (top 0.5% in the world) land some of their shots on your jaw and see if you still believe in that term.

Lucien Bute is a classy guy. He's got balls if he takes the rematch.

That is some good writing by Bute's team.

I hope he wins the rematch but I can't help but think if he froze in this fight what will he do when the memory hits him just before the next?

Sorry, but I'm not sure Bute is strong enough mentally to be an elite boxer

Good steel is tempered with fire.

If you keep on fighting fighters who are hopeless, that makes your skill deteriorate

Bute should just re-tool, fight his way slowly until he regains his confidence. That interview actually shows his level of confidence. Elite fighters carry dufferent demeanor, and it is not because they are not humble, but it is a necessity. Once self doubt comes in, you lose half the future battles already.

With the way he lost, he would be better off having several tune-ups.

He simply FROZE. He was eating punches that were easy to defend actually, like the straight to the pipe one.

Losses are way to temper your steel, or better, fighting opponents that give you troubles.
