The boxing commision believed his version that the energy supplement his conditioning trainer gave him was contaminated during production. Apparently, independent tests proved it. Seems pretty far fetched to me but what ever. He is free to fight now. He was facing a 3 years suspension.
I might be alone but considering he brought his supplements from Heredia I'm confident Bute knew what he was taking. Not to mention his sudden rejuvenation and energy it all seems fishy to me as far as I'm concerned it's another Browne case.
Badou Jack also bought his supplements from Heredia. He was selling both of this guys shakes for this fight. which is wierd to say the least. Bute if he's smart he should get another S&C man Wasnt expecting that Bute will be cleared. I think he must've had some really good lawyers.
Memo's guys don't test positive. Since this story came out, I've maintained that Bute was screwed so Jack-Degale, which was already signed, wasn't at risk of being derailed. Both Bute and Jack used Memo, and the one that wasn't supposed to win is the one that tested positive. Convenient. That said, Memo's guys don't test positive, but I don't buy for a second that they're clean, either. So the irony is that Bute was probably dirty anyways while still being screwed on the positive test.
Wouldn't mind seeing a rematch with either Degale or Jack or even a fight with Groves.... Groves/Zeuge is probably next on the menu though.
Bute is a good guy, I'm happy to hear this, and my earlier defense of him has been validated, I still have my fingers crossed that maybe Browne had another contaminated sample.
Inaccurate news, This content is protected . He was found guilty and he reached the settlement with the commission where his license is suspended for 6 months and he (although voluntarily) pays WBC $50.000 for "Clean Boxing Program". Although I personally always cheered for Bute, he was well aware when he aligned himself with the cheater Heredia, a man who was busted and convicted for creating and selling doping to athletes. That alone never gives him the benefit of the doubt in my opinion. James DeGale should do everything in his power to make sure that there is heavy drug testing for the Badou Jack fight. Jack himself is highly suspect as he is aligned with Heredia as well.
Fk Browne. I defended that scumbag, he just came off as a nice innocent guy, but I wont make the same mistake twice.
I believe badou is also on the stuff from getting knocked out by a journey man like Edwards to a solid middle weight champion it also is fishy when you do all of that with the help of heredia
