Lucian Bute could of beat Joe Calzaghe if he was around a bit earlier!

Theres no doubt in my mind Bute has the beating of Calzaghe,
He throws high volumes of punches like Joe(extremley fast combanations)and is quick on his feet.

If only he started his career two years or was born earlier to build his experience and name up.O'well i'll just have to look forward to a Mikkel Kessler vs Lucian Bute fight these to are the best of the rest for sure!

He's slower, less varied and less mobile than Calzaghe. He's ok, but he's not on the same page talent-wise, regardless of when he was born.

Watch the whole fight. Bute was getting legitimately outboxed by Bika early on, whereas Joe was dominating and got bored, choosing to clown aound before getting caught by Bika's roughhouse tactics.

Bute was in a real fight from the beginning while Joe only got into trouble when he got bored and lost his focus. The two fights aren't remotely comparable.

I said the same thing about Lacy and Kessler. I'm sorry but Joe gets my respect and face it the boy is that good. Hop didn't want to fight him earlier in his career because he knew. He doesn't have anything to lose now

I'm like you, I had to learn the hard way also.

I was naive enough to think Lacy was gonna destroy Joe, but after that fight and the Kessler fight, I have gained a ton of respect for him.

He is an elite P4P fighter, and one of the best of his generation.

I'll admit I thought Lacy was the next Tyson, and the whooping Calzaghe gave him was like Lewis vs Tyson, but maybe worse. When Calzaghe start dropping his hands and playing with him, I just couldn't believe it. I thought Kessler was going to be his hardest fight, but he whoop his ass to. He is #2 or #3 p4p for me

Bute the great! He beat a chiny Beirro and beat up a washed up Joppy and all of a sudden his on Kessler Calzaghe levels!! Bute is at the same level as Froch, Inakin and Mudine and should be looking at these fighters instead of the elite SMW!

Joe was all over him early on, hitting the man at will. He started sitting his glove on Bika's head and generally taking the ****. Calzaghe got drawn into the rough housing and started getting caught around about rd 4 and got into a scrap for the next few rounds but he was never in any real trouble and ended the fight in complete control. I remember more clearly, it seems.

Bute is the most dangerous boxer for Calzaghe right now...why do you think Calzaghe is moving up 175 lbs...
