Nobodie's 'leftovers' puts in a performance like that. Froch deserves massive credit.

Sure Froch deserves credit for the win, he fought an awesome fight.....but lets be real......this is not even a prime Carl Froch.....and he is Ward's leftovers....any time a fighter takes a fight with a guy that was just beaten very onesided by a man with a broken hand going into the fight...it's leftovers.....JUST like Pac fighting Mosley after Mayweather....no different. Froch was awesome, but the Bute we saw could get beaten by a hand full of super middleweights.

I think Bute vs. Magee II is in order....might be a close fight seeing as Bute fans have hyped him up since he picked up a BS belt......much better Idea then Mikkel Kessler....we know that would end in a brutal way for Bute.

Ward wouldve bored us to death with a 12 round decision over Lucian..

Meanwhile Froch had at least THREE 10-8 rounds!!! AMAZING

Congrats Rumsfeld. Boxing Girl and of course Carl Froch, Team and all of his fans. Great fight for all of these. Concerning Lucian, never got it why he flew to Notthigham to tell you the truth but surely he was overconfident. Now Andre Ward is up there and Carl Froch has unfinished business with Mikkel Kessler...

Still think you use the term leftovers too loosely and dare i say in bad taste..

So ward went into the fight with froch with a broken hand? I know he hurt his hand in the fight?

Ward nullified froch and nothing else. Froch fought a bad fight by trying to load up, no jab or combination punching. Not saying he would beat ward in a potential re-match but ward did not beat Carl as emphatically as you like to point out. Mosely was done for and unlike Shane, froch is not shot to pieces so I can't agree with your comparison either.

Leftovers is a little harsh. The fight wasn't very close, but Froch put on a great effort against Ward. However Bute is definitely Froch's leftovers.

I myself tend to think of leftovers as someone who was beaten with the result that he lost something after. The first guy took most of it, the next guy got what was left of the poor *******.

Ward may beat Froch h2h but I know which one I would rather be remembered as, and its not Ward.

I tend to agree. Left overs to me suggests ward took something significant away from froch as fighter that bute could then feast on.. couldn't be further from the truth.

Ward wouldn't stop Bute TBF, Froch was in the zone tonight if Ward fought Froch away from home it might be different (I don't think it would but still you don't know) home town advantage plays a huge role.
