(28-0, 23KOs) is ready to leave Canada for a big fall showdown with former champion Mikkel Kessler. The Danish boxer was present as Bute knocked out Brian Magee in ten rounds at the Bell Centre in Montreal.

[FONT=&quot]"I am ready to go anywhere, whether it's in New York, Las Vegas, Romania," Bute said. "If he dares to fight me, I'll face Mikkel Kessler."

Anywhere like in Canada the US or Romania. Not Denmark.

Kessler has proven himself on his opponents turf and is ready to do it again. Bute isn't.

    I agree,

This like Ward saying I will fight any supermiddle in the world anywhere in Oakland.

Fight Kessler in Denmark, he is the bigger draw.

Nobody is questioning Kessler's heart here but really the only two notable fights outside Denmark were against Calzaghe and Ward and he lost them both.
If they fought right now, I'd take Bute to win in impressive fashion.

Yes Kessler lost those 2 fights, but to opponents that was in their prime, undefeated and in their hometowns...Bute has never fought such tough opponents like Calzaghe/Ward...

Kessler could be over the hill now after the long injury period. He would need a comeback fight before a championship fight IMO.

Kessler deserves every respect for whom and where he fought no matter the outcome, but don't bash Bute for fighting in Montreal where he's too a big draw at his only 28th when Kessler was at 35th and still in Denmark except maybe for one Vegas stop.

Now Kessler is over the hill and no tune-up is getting him back up.

Anyway no matter the venue of this fight, if it happens, it's going to be great for boxing.

kessler gets all the respect in the world for going to fight anywhere. If he can survive the body shots - which in his straight up style he will get hit with - the he could ko Bute late. no one is ko'ing kessler with head shots. recall calzaghe hurt him bad to the body...

Wow Romania? So he's willing to fight Kessler in his actual homeland instead of just his adopted homeland? This guy must have giant brass balls.

Thats just what I was thinking when I read the comment of I will fight him anywhere, and Bute makes a point of noting Romania.
Its as good as Ward having his next fight in California.

Still Bute - Kessler providing Kessler is healthy would be a good match up, I just fear for Kessler and wonder if his best days are gone

How all the idiots see's Romania but are blind to US ?
Ward gave Kessler 1 option CALIFORNIA. And your angry at Bute ?
He said anywhere and probably means anywhere even tho he forgot to mention Danemark.

Its not the only place that people see, it was just something that people jump on. I noted it but dont think it is bad. In truth the fight will be where the money is, im sure. If Canada makes the most money then good for the fighters. Too much is made about fighting in America and doesnt mean a thing other than to the delusional. The fights are live on TVs around the world so make little difference where they are.
This fight should really be somewhere like Denmark, Romania or Canada

People are tough on Bute and call him a home fighter etc but look at Ward so far, he has stayed in California whilst the rest of the S6 fighters have agreed to travel at some point.
Bute is building a fair resume of his own

Bika, Berrio, Zuniga, Magee, Andrade, Miranda.
Note Andrade was the #3 SMW and Bute the #2 when they fought, so Bute is doing fine
