Lucian Bute is the best super middleweight in the world

I've found nothing new so far today.

 

From what I read yesterday, they said the doctors are gonna wait till Wednesday to see how the antibiotics are working and make a decision then but they are not optimistic

 

thanks a lot , i hope hes ok , but i dont what him to taka a stupid decision, like on the 1st andrade.

 

The only source not being optimistic was Boxing insider. Interbox said they were pretty sure all would be ok. The meds are working well. Bute is slowing down the training though. They also talked to Eddie Hearn, who wrote on his twitter that the fight was still on.

At 6:25 of the interview the sports writer who is in Florida now talks about Bute's infection. Seems it's blister that got infected on his toe. They went to the clinic Saturday, they pierced the toe nail to relieve some pressure and he has to take strong antibiotics for 5 days.

He did not train Monday and today he's doing some weights only not to put pressure on his toe. They saw the doctor again Monday and it seems it was getting better and the writer says Bute was not discouraged at all with this situation.

They are flying back to Montreal Wednesday and he will see his Doctor here on Thursday be fore leaving for Nottingham.

 

He is the best after Ward, Froch and Kessler.
