I am a Bute fan and I really hope that it will be a competitive fight and Bute will win.
    Go, Lucian!

I'm not sure Degale is the hungrier fighter. I think Bute is pretty upset of what he's earing about himself in the medias, including the social medias. He wants his belt back. He knows it's a great opportunity offered to him. If he loses, he becomes a gatekeeper. Degale is sure to win. He seems to be a bit overconfident and already talks about his future fights. Degale cannot do what Froch did.

BUT, if Bute is still afraid and shy, it will be an easy win for Degale. If he is 80% of what he used to be, we'll have a fight.

That's fan bull****. Cotto came back from his terrible loss against Margarito. It took him time though. I'm not saying Bute is able to do it. Most of the time, fighters are not able to come back from such a terrible loss. But sometimes, we see a fighter making a comeback.

I wish Bute is one of them. We'll see it next week.

I'm a fan, psychologically outside the ring he seems better than ever, more confident. I think he needs to start very well, and start to be again super confident inside the ring as well to have a change. Degale has speed on his side, youth, and clearly is skilled. He will most likely trow more than Bute and Lucian must have a good response with a better defense than what we saw until now (I;ve seen improvements, will see how much fight night) with power and accuracy. Bute might score big with that fast sneaky uppercut to the body. That could get Degale Down, and maybe even counted out.

Degale has more speed, trows more, his technique is at it's peak and will be hard to decision him. But who really knows. Degale is tho havy favorite in my eyes, 70 - 30
Bute is an underdog, but one that has some changes to pull out the surprise. Because I also believe , even tho Degale is thrully talented, it is also quite a bit overrated. Might be even by me.

Bute can take a punch. Froch trowed bombs like I rarelly seen in a boxing ring. Like hellish wide punches "from the back of the garden" how we say it down here. That's because Bute was inactive, and only guarding himself , and also with his back on the ropes. So I'm more worried about how much he improved his defense and regain his confidence than his chin. Take a look back at Froch vs Bute and you'll see what I mean. Someone meantioned that Froch trown everything in there only thing he had left is to hit Bute with he kitchen sink. And obviously hurt Bute still hasn't felt down. Also Pascal hit him with some big shots and stood his ground.

Good and fair assessment Beastside.:good I basically agree with everything you said....in theory, but I think if Bute can manage to not get stopped early and it goes past 6, Degale might be in for a world of trouble, Bute is usually heavy handed late into a fight, and if he can land enough of his uppercuts and straight lefts to the body in the first six that might pay dividends in the last six, and I could even see a stoppage win for Bute if he focuses primarily on Degale midsection with no let up.

    Bute about Degale

I think he's a well educated guy, at least that's the impression that he gave me from our meetings, he has a little arrogance, but a earned arrogance, the performances he obtain, he was Olympic Champion in amateurs and now at Professionals a World Champion gives his that right for this small arrogance i've saw in some declarations. It's normal he's the Champion he's favorite at bookies. I've been a World Champion for 5 years and I know how that is, to come in front of the journalists and at press conferences to have a attitude and an aproach of huge confidence. This things don't bother me I pass by them don't matter at all for me those declaration, I'm calm and focused on my training and my strategy that I've worked and working on it still with my team, my coaches, and I'm much much more unabashed from this standing point.

Then Grant comes in action saying Hit him right in the F$@#$ eyes .

Then in French. He heard that Froch said he is done, finished. (Actually Froch said that Degale is not fighting the same Bute that has walked in the ring against him that night - same thing but much more chivalrous) And that it will be an easy fight for Degale. Yes if you look at it Froch has held the belt, was World Champion and DeGale was his Mandatory Challenger. He was suppose to fight Degale in England, but he relinquished his belt. Why did he accepted this fight and vacated his belt why didn't he fought Degale. It's easy to talk, everybody talks from all sides, I know how I am, and how hard I work nothing is bad here (probably meant about being "finished" I'm not perfect in french, actually far from it) I'm not very pretentious I'm giving my all, all my skills all my experience, everything I have on my side. I'm very confident I will not make promises but I will give all my energy for this fight on the 28th.

I've seen something that impressed me in training for Degale. He's using more and more his right, and actually packs some power. I;ve seen combination ending with a right hook or a pretty good short right uppercut. Also I've seen some improvement in his defense, but he was clearly not pushed and pressured against his sparring partners how he will be inside the ring with Degale. So I don't know how good it will work. Started working with Freddie Roach on his defense and end it well with the Grant Brothers.

Also I've seen him still being gun-shy, at least that's the impression that he gave me, even his trainers and managers were yelling more aggressive, don't let him walk away, and stuff like that. And if he doesn't gets confident to trow enough to steal rounds against Degale his chances diminished considerably.

Degale seems to be better in the first part of the fight. That could be a factor, if Bute's confidence is back. Because if it is not, All that talk is useless.

    :clap::clap::clap::clap:

    You acquitted yourself honorably Lucian.

I said Degale wouldn't stop him. He spent the last 7-8 rounds running, instead all out aggression, Degale you are no Carl Froch.:deal

Uh no he didn't, he ran for the last 8 rounds when he realized he couldn't KO Bute, Degale won but barely.
