    the prediction; i was just trolling around like the OP did. But my explanation (the first phrase, the one that you somehow missed) is what closes the thead, not the prediction (which btw, i believe is valid)

    Bute proved his haters wrong regarding the travelling and his will to fight the top guys and all in all, his resume isn't as bad as some may pretend. The man deserves respect. :hat Now have they had the same careers so far ? Certainly not.

    In your first answer you acted like you've just been being trolled and now you're trying to twist things;
    I will repeat it to you: Larouche adds stuf when he translates Bute; Bute acknoledges the top SMW are him, Ward, Froch and Kessler; Froch fought the other two, so when he's talking about similar careers he doesn't mean similar resumes , but similar time when their careers started and similar timing of when they've reached the top by acquiring a world title

    Froch wrote a very respectful column about Bute in today's BN.I've always said the trash-talk would benefit Bute more than anyone and I think it will be a fairly respectful build up.
    Used to think a few Bute fans were a bit too sensitive about Froch but I realise now that they are just more used to Bute's more measured style of PR and are just looking out for their guy.I've also realised there are a few Quebecois who have got into boxing purely because of Bute and you have to give props to the guy for bringing people to the sport.Not many fighters have fans who weren't already boxing fans(of sorts)
    Carl still gonna put some hurt on your boy though.:good:hey

  11. What like Froch fighting a series of champions and tough top level fighters, and Bute fighting a series of nobodys and plumbers, come again.

    He said that and then mentioned Magee, Tatevosyal and Johnson, so he could have wanted to said something else entirely.

    Anyway I hope he's not right because Froch has lost every time he fought elite fighters, and I hope Bute won't do that. Also Froch came really close to lose to those who are very technical or very athletic.

    Twisting quotes aren't we?! Good stuff. :conf

    No debate on who's faced the tougher opposition.

    Schedules & resumes don't fight however, and writing Bute off purely based on resume comparison is being ignorant.
