That's a win/win sparring scenario if I ever saw one. Outstanding choices on both men's behalf.

Well...it's too bad for him that Marlon B. Wright is also officiating the sparring between Johnson & Bute..

That was not the plan. They wanted to fight Taylor between the two fights. When Taylor lost to Froch, they had not time to face Froch, who was not available until September, and Andrade. Bute chose Andrade who himself had an elbow injury to heal. Bute was ready before but HBO set the date. Anyway, I hope he fights more often in the future.

 

I know he was suppose to fight Froch or Taylor but they should have had a back-up.

Last year they didn't do the may fight because they didn't have no tvdate I beieve.

 

They had Allan Green as a back up. Green changed his mind. Maybe it was a mistake to trust him. Last year, Bute had a knee injury to heal, that's why he was 6 months off.
