Bute would knock Ward out, but Ward will not fight him. Why do you think Bute was not allowed to fight in Ward's tournament and Ward getting all his fight in his home town?

Andre Ward outbox a boxer who allmost lost to Andrade. Andrade who Kessler dominated.

Its easier to predict the outcome of a fight when one of the fighters is limited, and only can fight one way. The difference in fighting Andrade and Miranda is like the difference between hitting a ball off the tee and hitting a Nolan Ryan fastball. You know where the ball on the tee is going to be.

You cant compare any fight that Bute has won to a fight that he would have with Ward because he hasnt fought anyone near the skill level as Ward. Thats not to say that Bute couldnt win the fight, its just saying that using Miranda and Andrade as a gauge is sick, and will leave you flat. If Bute trys anything over and over again vs Ward he will get countered and beatten to a pulp.

Thing is before the fight with Ward people were saying that Kessler was the most complete fighter at the weight.

Then after the fight he was shot, but he still beat Froch.

Kessler looked awful against Froch. He landed at a terrible percentage, his 1-2 is not there anymore. He is shot.

You're right: fighting Miranda or Andrade has nothing to do with fighting Ward. Ward has many many tools and can adapt beautifully to his opponent. But fighting Bute is also different of anything Ward has faced before. Bute is mostly a counterpuncher. Will Ward try to be the counterpuncher? Bute's blend of speed, timing, accuracy and power is so good that I feel he would win if they fight at distance. I'm sure Ward will want to go on the inside and he'll try to change his stance once in a while. What will Bute do when Ward tries to fight inside is the key of the fight. He has to punish Ward before he gets inside and he has to get out of the pocket when Ward comes in. Can he?

If Ward pays only attention to the left hook, he will be in trouble. Bute has power in both hands and has many tools in his box. Can he get respect from Ward after landing a couple of power shots? The Dirrell fight will give us some answers on how good Ward is against another fast opponent. Unfortunately, unless Bute fights Hopkins, we won't know how Bute reacts against a tricky southpaw.

It doesn't work like that in boxing.

Taylor beat Hopkins / Pavlik beats Taylor / Hopkins dominates Pavlik

Frazier beat Ali / Foreman destroys Frazier / Ali knocks out Foreman

The history of boxing is full of example like that.

    Barring the last round....
Bute was convincingly beating Andrade each and every round.

Ward tries to make it ugly, while Bute tries to make it pretty. I suspect Bute would do well early, but Ward is better at making in-fight adjustments than Bute, and I think Ward would nick it in the end.

I can see that. I can also see Bute knocking Ward at the end, in a desperate effort.
