I think a lot of people are overating Abraham, because of what he did to Taylor, who wa KO in 3 of his last 5 fights. And his last 2 fights he got KO in the 12th...

    Bute by UD

Bute was easier to find by Andrade than Taylor by Abraham or Pavlik. So, there is no base to say that Bute vs. Abraham would look anything like vs. Andrade, given that Abraham doesn't stalk and throw all the time, but in explosive bursts from a SAFE shell. Bute wins this again on activity unless Abraham manages to find him, and yet, Abraham found ALL of his opponents eventually during the fight.

How many Bute fights have you watched? Let me guess, two : Bute vs Andrade 1 and 2. He was injured a month before the first fight. Plus he normally finishes strong. Watch te Bika fight, the Berrio fight, the Joppy fight and in Andrade 1 he had his best rounds from 6 to 11

AA doesn't put half the pressure Andrade puts. He's better defensively so he protects himself more, Andrade doesn't give a ****, he comes straight forward and you could hit him as much as you want, he'll hit you too

How can you say that too?? Bute took Berrio's best shots, Bika's best shot and Andrade's best shots and he didn't went down. He went down in the first fight because he was tired. He got tired, but he usually doesn't, for the first Andrade fight he had an injury till 1 month before the fight, that breaks your energy

I'll take Bute by UD or even by KO

Any fighter can be knocked out! Bute was knocked out by Golovkin at the amateurs, with headgear and a supercautious ref behind his back.
Golovkin is a classy fighter, and so is Bute, but Bute goes down as soon as AA connects with some very telling shots. I very much doubt that Bute could hold AA at bay over the course of 12 extremely long rounds:verysad

The Bute that faced Gennady Golovkin is miles away from today's Bute. He didn't even know how to throw a jab before moving to Quebec. Plus as you said, anybody can get KOed, we just saw it this weekend

To get KOed, you have to get hit with flush, hard shots. Abraham is KNOWN for not getting hit a lot, let alone flush, with powerpunches. He is known to drop rounds on activity. Bute will not magically change this. Either he can pick Abrahams timing and avoid the flurries, then he wins on UD, or he can't, then he loses from getting knocked down or out. The proof is in the pudding.

i completely agree, but he definitely was tired in the 12th and really wasn't nearly as elusive as he had been earlier in the fight. the reason i say he isn't so smart is because he doesn't know when to stop fighting (not to mention the countless wasted punches (mostly jabs) upstairs on abraham's gloves that were expending energy and not doing ANY damage at all).

he should have been staying away from AA in the 12th, but he wasn't. he knew the power he was dealing with and he was still standing right in front of the guy. it's almost as though he was asking for it.

Trust me, against AA he would not only go down but stay there. You simply cannot compare the guys you mentioned with AA in terms of punching power. AA hits harder than everyone Bute has ever faced. He will think twice before hitting Abraham soon after he got hit the first couple times.
    AA is underrated - still.

If you're right Dirrell will have an easy night against AA...I wouldn't bet on it, Boo.

Although the KO was good, I was more impressed with his defense and his patience. He carried his game plan out perfectly.

I could see Bute winning for the first half of the fight for sure, and I like Bute, he's a good fighter...but i just think AA would be too strong. Once Bute tires and AA's punches start getting through, it would be over.

Why would Bute tire? Will AA pressure Bute enough to tire him out?
