You make it seems like BUTE is the 2nd coming of FMJ. He geats hit and he gets hit a lot for someone rated as the no 1 smw. Slow ass Andrade was tagging him at will.
Bute moves well, boxes well, can punch, has reach, height. I think he's getting better and is smart enough to not get caught as long as he doesn't gas. But unless Arthur picks up is workrate I don't see how that happens. I still can't see this fuss over Abe, solid contender but against top opposition it's speculation.
AA has beat Pavlik left overs at SMW if you want to go that route then. Taylor is a shell of his former self fighting on for money and Bute is just starting to peak. It remains to be seen if AA will up his punch count against someone with a little power. Something he wouldn't do at 160. Too soon to say.
Andrade's pressure took its tool in the first fight. Didn't work in the second. I have only seen AA come forward against guys whose power he doesn't have to respect like Marquez. Again, we have to see if he is different at SMW than he was at MW. Bute shows steady signs of improvement.
Cmon nowthe versions of Pantera and Taylor were much better stronger versions than the ones Pav fought.
Bute does the same thing by putting his hands down and sticking his head out just a little and only for a sec as a bait moving it left-right for some safety (lol :rofl it's quite funny to watch ) he jabs/combo and leave he doesn't stay and trade . Arthur should dash and hit to catch him...or run after him like Andrade which is dangerous. I think AA will land some and i have no idea if Bute can take them imo he doesn't have a bad chin but not the best either and the opponent has real power . But if Arthur get's careless trying to land more(let's say rounds 10 11 12 when he'll only have a ko as an option of wining) he might wake up kneeling on the floor . LoL in the end u DON'T KNOW what happens :conf
I am not claiming AA as the best SMW out there hence the reason I am "not going that route". Yes it does "remain to be seen" and AA's next 4 fights will prove that.
Good post west:good even though this fight is not happening in the next 2 years, it is good to debate on!
I don't know much about Bute, but this also means that he hasn't fought on an elite-level. Same is also true for AA, but as a fan of him I obviously know him better. Taylor has fought Hopkins at least and he won. Bute has won two times against Andrade. Bute is definitely not on another level. In fact prime Taylor is the better of the two. The current version of Taylor isn't, but nobody said that Taylor was Abraham's best win. All in all Abraham has fought better opposition than Bute imho.
Seeing that Bute was hittable (at least a little) vs. Andrade, and that Andrade and Abraham only have the first letter in common regarding their defense, I'd bet on Abraham. Bute would need to raise his game to a new level to hold Abraham at bay.
Maybe you should read your post again. Comparing two fighters so closely is irrelevant when their styles are so different. If you can't understand that, it's fine with me.
There styles are different but Andrade gave Bute all he could handle in there first fight hence the comparison to a possible future fight with AA and the comparison since it was Butes toughest fight to date. If you can't understand that, it is fine with me too:hi:
But the point is the pressure Andrade puts on. I've NEVER seen AA apply pressure like that. He comes forward behind the shell if you can't get his respect. AA has to throw a lot more leather or land quite significantly to duplicate 'his version' of that. That is why I think Bute boxes to a decision. Again, I need to see more of what he will be like at SMW since I think his last year at MW isn't very telling because of weight issues.
