Would you be saying all this **** if Bute had been invited into the S6, and had been facing the same guys Ward/Froch have been in the ring with? While full of slimy bias, your post has its hint of truth to it and a lot of Bute fans are also tired of waiting. It's coming, 6 months or so and Bute will face SMW top dogs one after another. Brinkley/Magee will NOT be acceptable from that point on, as stay busy fights if he does take some should revolve around low top 10 kind of opponents. Showtime has the future of the SMW division in their hands, I know it sounds ****in corny but it is what it is.

Bute is facing Kessler, Dirrell, Pavlik, or the loser of Froch/Johnson next summer IMO. If he doesn't, he better get 'something' and take Stieg or Sarts' belt. Otherwise, I'm done defending the guy.

A lot of ESB'ers will eat fresh crow if Bute gets past top opposition.

Maybe to Bute fans, Brinkley/Magee fights won't be acceptable in the future, but to others like me it's not acceptable now. To each their own.

If Bute gets by top opposition without controversy, preferably outside of Canada for once.....I will certainly eat mine and readily give him props as I've said before. I don't believe it'll happen though.

If Bute doesn't get past top opposition, I don't want to hear any more damn excuses of any kind or claims of greatness.

Sartison will never come to Canada to sell his title. Mendy basically got knocked out by bika in one round and then got the win cause bika's a psycho....Marcus Johnson? Please, who the **** is that ....if you expect people to be outraged cause Bute is not facing Marcus Jonson your an idiot...simple as. Frankly any version of McGee beats this Johnson guy easy.
