I think Bute's biggest mistake (other than his inherent chin/no head movement/no inside game issues) was not fighting more cautiously and using more footwork. He was more flat footed than usual, and more aggressive than usual. Maybe the moment and the crowd got to him and he froze and had no legs. This is a possibility, given that he's used to fighting in Canada and having the crowd totally on his side. Uncomfortable setting for him.

Bute has low pain tolerance...in other words, a weak chin.

Froch was too tough for a softie like Bute.

I didn't feel it was too bad. He was really only holding when he got hurt. I've never seen a penalty for it in those circumstances. It didn't seem to be part of his gameplan, and I've seen far worse go unpunished. I didn't like the rabbit punching by Froch, or the hitting after the break by both guys. Although the ref did give warnings, so he was aware at least. None of affected the outcome of the fight, so I guess it isn't very relevant.

Fantastic. Another great night from the Cobra! Amazing stuff!

Respect to Bute. He seems like a class act, and I hope he comes back from this

Froch-Kessler rematch next. Rematches with Ward or Bute seem unnecessary at this point

    :deal Called it!

Personally, I have no desire to see Froch-Ward II or Froch-Bute II. Froch-Kessler II is the fight that should be made. Froch's business at 168 is pretty much finished, unless Andre Dirrell decides he wants a rematch, but I don't think that's on his agenda at the moment. A rematch with Mikkel at 175 in Nottingham or Copenhagen would be spectacular.

Interbox got what was coming to them. They tried to stop this fight so they could get the big money Ward-Bute fight, now they get nothing.

Bute may be a great guy outside the ring.

But it seems quite arrogant (and stupid), when he in the 3rd round invited Froch to
come and hit him (if memory serves me right, around 1:45-150 in the fight. Froch came, hit him, and Bute got hurt after that, the rest is history.

Now lets have a real war, Froch - Kessler, Kessler wants Froch belt, and Froch really want revenge his defeat from Copenhagen.
