I think Bute does better against Ward. Ward does not have the power Froch has, and I think Bute's uppercuts might work in the infights Ward likes so much.

That was a career changing beating. Lets let Bute beat a fighter with a pulse before declaring him likely to defeat a legit unified champion as skilled as Ward.

 

Well, I don't think there's any question that Ward would beat the **** out of him.


Whatever you want to say about Ward, he's gonna hit you... one way or another. It's gonna get rough in there... one way or another. And you will feel some sort of pain... one way or another.


And quite frankly, I don't think Bute has the punch resistance for the elite at SMW. I think Kessler, Abraham, Dirrell, and even Jermain Taylor whip his ass pretty comfortably.

 

Bute still has good punch and I don't wanna see Taylor in with ANYONE with a good punch at this point. Well, I don't wanna see him in at all, but that's another story.

 

Fact of the matter is Bute has a giraffe neck which isn't a good sign for his punch resistance. You're only going to go so far if you can't take the incoming.
