Nice to talk about fights that are actually scheduled and ready to happen. I'm really looking forward to this series. I earned a lot of respect for Froch throughout the Super Six and will be rooting for him.

Bute looks to be very skilled, but he is very untested. I think his speed will give Froch some serious problems, but am looking forward to see how he does against legitimate competition.

If this fight is definitely happening, maybe some will now realise that Froch's trash talking will benefit Bute in a big way.Not so long ago there were many who were awfully offended by it,but Froch talking means a thicker wallet for Bute.As a Froch fan,I'd have to admit Bute would be the favourite going in,but Carl is the one who will sell this fight outside of Canada.Still think a two-fight deal is wrong for Froch at this stage of his career.A one off in Atlantic City or Northern Europe would be better. He's at a very advanced stage in his career to commit to two fights that could be very taxing indeed. And if we have a controversial decision first-time round, how do we know Carl won't have left too much in the ring at his age, meaning that he's going into the second fight with far less than he has now? They all have one war too many, and Bute has youth on his side.
Mind you,who gives a ****? we all want it bad! And no excuses,I'll take the result on the chin unless it's unavoidably arguable.

Ward fans will seriously be rooting for Froch .

I like Froch and think he deserves alot of credit for his willingness to travel. Froch fought every member of the original S6 line up one after the other and was fighting away 5 of the 6 times. Ward fans seemed to feel it would be too much for Ward to fight Bute after a far easier mainly home run.
But Froch is 34 and has never beaten a top prime SMW. The most accomplished SMW Froch has beaten is B Magee (other than Reid who was very faded). Froch has only won vacant titles and never beaten a fighter to have won a main world SMW title (Magee is WBA int champ).

I think Bute will clearly beat Froch, who I feel has taken too much in his career. I always felt Froch was past his best when he won a world title at about 31.

If Bute commits he can stop Froch, if he doesnt fully commit which like Froch he seems reluctant to, Bute can win a wide decision.

The SMW division is so weak at this time that it is down to Bute and Ward to decide who is best

Also, Froch's pressure will be more relentless then Johnson's. Froch's power shots are wideee and telegraphed => a KO/TKO is not a SF scenario, at all...

I don't know nothing about "emotional insults"..sounds like somehting your momma says after I beat her.

But I know one thing...your previous post had everything but a pair of panties to wipe your tears.

On a serious note, we know Bute wanted to fight in the Super 6. We know he was an HBO fighter at the time and there was no way Showtime or HBO was going to let him in until he fullfillled his previous contract. As soon as Bute got out of his HBO contract, he signed with Showtime, has called out Ward and is now fighting 6 fighters Johnson and Froch. Why exactly are you insisting he doesn't want to fight "the best"? Oh, you just hating. Well hate while you can cause once Bute starts thrashing your bandwagons, your going to be riding that **** to the promised land. Dont' be a dick rider.

Almost 3/4 of ESB at this point thinks Bute will win, with numbers only slightly in favor of a decision vs KO/TKO.

    61 and.. counting?! :D

Bute turns to the Dark Side in the Froch fight. He'll play the jab feeling out game first, set up counters, wait until the 7-8th round to turn it up a notch, and will IMO be the aggressor in the championship rounds trying to end it. May he look mean doing so.

    War Pissed Off Bute

Its shocking that 1/4 actually think Froch can win this at all and in Canada. I don't see this being a good fight, a mismatch really.

Explain on what grounds you feel Bute and Pascal are the same kind of boxers. I personnaly think they're different.

How did he get the shaft coming from a lost (albeit from the Super Six winner) and needing a belt to come back to the heights he came down from ? Bute had the arguments to make the fight first in Montreal.
