Prime Bute is all wrong for Late Froch. That being said, Bute needs to go for the KO to put enough pressure on Ward. Otherwise, Ward will still want Bute to face Dirrell and Kessler.... ...at the same time. :yep
i think you've right , Bute must win in a spectacular way this fight to put that pressure on Ward. If Bute will win by K.O/T.K.O, fans and Showtime will demand to Ward to fight with Bute. Other fights for Ward will be pointless and won't attract nothing.
I hope he get well paid to come to Canada and take a beating, because he will never see Bute in UK for a 2nd fight. And if he really believe he will he is not that smart, I predicted all along that this "2 fight arrangement" would start in Canada and never turn into more than that 1 fight. In under a year people will see I was right, but of course there will be "acceptable" excuses for no 2nd fight.
Dunno if it's something in the contract, but team Bute will get around a 2nd fight somehow. Either by claiming no reason since 1st was a shutout or by paying Froch to avoid a 2nd fight or... take your pick After that Bute will prove his willingness to travel by offering the winner of Kessler/Stieglitz a nice sum to come to Canada, or maybe even Ward, though that would be in vain as Ward won't travel either.
What would be Hearn's marketing excuse for Froch-Bute II in Nottingham if Bute wins a shutout in Montreal? Those are the clauses they are still working on if I go by the quotes on ESPN. Actually, if Ward goes by the ESPN divisional rankings, Bute has beaten 3 other top 10's very clearly, and is about to do the same with Froch. Including himself, that's half the top 10. Ward better ****in cooperate and not make excuses. :hey
Would be fun to see a poll about who actually believe a 2nd fight will ever happen Or who believes Bute will fight Kessler in Denmark or Ward in USA in 2012
And Bute shows no balls as always by not having 1st fight in UK, if 1st fight was in UK you can believe we WOULD see 2 fights... then again maybe not because Bute would beat Froch in UK too, just sad he doesn't have the guts to prove himself.
You still didn't answer the question. Winning a shutout crushes the marketability of a 2nd fight, either way. End of. It's not an 'excuse' as you make it out to be. Why would Bute fight Kessler in Denmark? Unless Sauerland's offer is ridiculous, and that's if Ward declines HIS offer which would come first, Showtime and Interbox can make it pretty interesting considering the PEPS stadium (bit over 20K people) has been penciled in for an outside boxing card next summer in QC City (Interbox). Bute already offered to go to Oakland to start discussions for a Bute-Ward fight. Ward dismissed Bute's case, he's more interested in doing what Bute had been doing the past years i.e. take care of a mandatory.
Can you tell me WTF are you talking about? Everybody knew it man. In the first rumor about the 2 fights deal (which was like 2-3 weeks ago), it was already clear that the 1st fight would be in Canada, and that there would be no rematch if the 1st fight is one sided (because of marketability). Still, it's just common sense!
I believe a 2nd fight wont happen. Bute will whoop him bad the 1st time around so the 2nd fight will not be necessary.
for the first fight in Spring at Montreal, money is the main reason, as also they want to fight indoor. With Froch, I think they will pack the Bell Center at 21, 000, 11,000 more than the Nottingham arena. If they want a second fight in summer (outdoor), the Nottingham City Ground for soccer will be the place ( 30,500).
Anyway , all the Bute's haters and ward's-genitals will say that Bute has beaten "an old-out of shape-not in his prime-destroyed by Ward" Carl Froch , when Bute will win this fight. So pathetic .......
