If Bute would have been invited, he would have shown that thos best people were talking about were actually the rest of the best.

Bute will handle him easier than Ward did.

If he does, which he very well may do (although I see him winning via a decision, and personally had Ward winning 10-2, so that's hard to beat), then wouldn't that make the rematch a bit of a nothing fight?

I don't really get this whole 2 fight deal. It makes perfect sense if the fight is a close, entertaining one. But in that case, it's likely both fighters would agree to do an immediate rematch anyway. But if it's not... I don't see the point of going at it again.

    I like this fight though.

"The second fight will be four months later on August 4th in Nottingham, England. Depending on how competitive and well received the initial fight is, there could be a second fight in Froch’s home town of Nottingham, England. It goes without saying that Bute gets the better deal out this compared to Froch, because the first fight is guaranteed and the second is contingent out how well the first fight goes.

Froch, 34, may need a knockout to win a fight against Bute in Canada unfortunately, because it’s often very difficult for visiting fighters to win decisions win fighting there.

Froch’s promoter Eddie Hearn from Matchroom Sport told ESPN writer Dan Rafael “At the end of the day we need the second fight to be relevant and appealing.”

Just read the Bute - Froch article on the front page of ESB.

Looks like Froch got shafted. One can only hope he gets the lions share of the purse.

Skillwise Bute might be better, but Pascal beat a guy which was ranked P4P :hey Skill is not everything.

Those who dare, those who win :D

Winner of this fight is ranked number 2 in the SMW, while Ward is relaxing... and doing ****. Ward should be ashamed of himself. Bute would get my respect, if he fights in England. S:O:B

Hearn sounds pretty confident & happy about the negos with Interbox. It's not like they have leverage, they don't. Bute is putting it all on the line e.g. if he loses he is GONE.

Because it is actually Froch we're talking about, the build-up and interest in QC will be tremendously big.

A second fight would (again, 'would') not be marketable if (again, 'if') Froch OR Bute loses a lopsided UD / by KO/TKO in Canada.

If it's a close fight in the FOTY realm of things, then a shitload of cash is to be made with a second fight.

We'll get clear statements on contract clauses when the presser finally takes place.

Wonder how much Ward will make fighting a Dog.

I think Froch is passed it, sad to say, but this will certainly be an interesting fight regarless.

IMO Bute 'aint all that, (it's just a weak division) but I sure wouldn't mind if he surprised me.

Bute dominated that fight. and WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO ko`ED ANDRADE AND SO WILL REMAIN.You can say Andrade is the moral winner but he took to him 2 maxim 3 from 16 rounds. You can`t say he lost that fight.Pascal lost to an old man, lost to Froch.Bute will beat him without doubt.Keep your mouth shut, Bute showed was a poisoning problem later and the rematch definetely showed it!

I'm looking forward for this fight . Bute has a lot of pressure on his shoulders because he can lose his belt. If Bute will win in Canda and the fight will be a close one then Bute has to go in U.K where the risk to lose his belt increases. On the other hand Froch can make good money and he hasn't nothing to lose. So, Bute has to prepare very good his uppercut.

Was he past it against Ward too, or just now that he's going to fight Bute?
