In a sense KP was right. Pretty much anybody who gets clipped on the chin by Miranda is going to have trouble recovering. Pavlik took a few of those, but later said; "They made me feel kind of funny. Like sick to my stomach."

At this point we really do not know if Bute has the kind of chin that is Pantera proof. Nor do we know if stamina is still an issue since his last two fights ended in the 4th.

Anything can happen in boxing. If Miranda gets Bute out into deep waters, and Lucian runs out of gas . . . . . ?

Bute had stamina problems once, in the first Andrade fight. He caught an infection a couple of weeks before, then an allergic reaction to the antibiotic. The doc wanted to postpone the fight. He won't have any stamina issue against Miranda. Edison should not hope for that, it won't happen. bute is a beast in the gym, he works very hard and usually is the guy who finishes strong. As for his chin, well, it's very good but against Miranda he should not try to test it...

Me earlier post was by no means a preditcion. Anything can happen in boxing. Arguello once lost to a guy wth a record of 5-6 after busting his hand up on the dudes head! Hearns lost a fight because he sprained his freaking ankle! I expect Bute to completely outbox Miranda, and then stop him. However, **** happens!

Yes. April 17, part of a split double header with Pavlik/Martinez. It is meant to build up some hype for Bute ahead of a possible Pavlik/Bute match up.

    Very good then.

Can not wait to see Miranda back in action, and against Bute, this should be another exciting fight.

I favor Bute, but Miranda is, always, a live dog because of his power.

I was only talking about the stamina. For the rest, you're right, no fight is sure for any boxer.

It's funny that Miranda's chances to many have come down to a 'fluke' win. 'No fight is for sure', 'anything can happen', '**** happens'

I wish I could snap shot of all your faces IF the unthinkable happens...:admin

Pantera is training awful hard to "get lucky". Credit due if he pulls this off.

That's what I am thinking. Pavlik couldnt even sell out his home crowd in a small venue.
Sounds like Arum already talking **** to 'scare' Interbox out of keeping a fight in Canada if they both win.

Bute has other options now (Pascal-Dawson).

Pavlik isn't the only name on the hit list anymore.

Pascal-Dawson will take a while, I'm not sold that they go on the June date. Aren't they LHW? Last I checked? Perfectly honest here, if I were Bute, I'd stay away from Dawson if I could get Pavlik.

Pascal-Dawson is going to happen in August. A Bute vs. Pascal/Dawson fight could happen in december. Guess it wouldn't be the fall anymore. :D

From what we've been hearing. Pavlik doesn't seem that interested in fighting Bute. Even tho he's the only decent fight out there for him at the moment. I guess Pavlik could end up fighting the winner of Williams-Cintron but with the history that Williams and Pavlik have. Not sure that fight would ever happen.
