It's in August, but there is a rematch clause whoever wins. So Bute will not get either of those two probably until 2011. He will also have to fight a mandatory (winner of Brinkley-Bika, so Bika I guess?) and would like to do a fight in Romania this summer... :huh
Pavlik wants Williams, Sturm and then move up. Williams, doubt that will happen. Sturm? Doubtful also. He came into camp at a SOLID 185. His days at 160 are numbered. Plain and simple. I think that might be part of the reason he hit the weights after the Espino fight. He just knows there are no more fights left at 160. In spite of what folks think, he does want to take on better competition. I think they would like to hold of on 168 until the tourney is coming to an end. Just not sure they can do that.
For me Miranda's chances have always been slim, kind of "no fight is for sure". You can be sure I won't have my normal happy face if Miranda wins. :|:verysad:dead:fireHe's a banger, so it's a possibility.
There's an article on fight news on Bute in Florida. His physical trainer is also interviewd. For me, that's the more interesting part. Kulezsa says Bute has already achieved the cardio goal they had decided. After 12 rounds of boxing, his heart goes from 195 to 120, after one minute of rest. I used to run and I hate him to be able to do that!
here “He has exceptional capabilities of cardio-vascular recovery,” said Kulesza “One of the best I’ve ever trained and I’ve trained eight world champions. “He’s a good learner is very efficient. When he learns something, he does it so well and doesn’t burn much energy so we always have to manipulate exercises because he adapts so well and it becomes too easy for him. He always cool and uses his brain, but when you’re calm you can think and if you’re tired you can’t think as quick. “He’s very quick, agile, and well coordinated.” Kulesza said the goals of cardio have already been met. “We want to get his heart rate to drop to 120 to 130 within a minute after performing twelve rounds and we’re already at this level. So he’s going at about 195 and dropping to 120 after one minute. and here the link for the article http://www.fightnews.com/?p=40583
I think this is the first guy I ever put on my ignore list back under a different name. Didn't take long to put him back where he belongs.
I run too, and this seems almost impossible to me. First, getting your heart rate to 195 isnt easy. Of course your heart rate has as much to do with who you are as what shape you are in. 195 is a very very high heart rate that many athletes would never be able to achieve. Possibly Bute has a natural high heart rate and therefore it is possible for him. Next you have the drop from that high down to 120 in one minute. That is insane! Again, I am not saying that it is impossible, but that is one freaking healthy heart. Incredible respect to Bute if that is all true.
