Form what I read, Pavlik and Kessler made up the excuse, not Bute. An offer was on the table. So not sure where you are coming from.
Excuses for not fighting Pavlik: They signed the damn contract! They didn't make excuses! Pavlik then pulled out. Excuses for not fighting Dirrell: When? Before the Super 6? Dirrell was a prospect back then. After the Super 6? Dirrell hasn't even made a comeback fight yet! You would be the first to jump on that to claim Bute handpicks his opponents! Excuses for not fighting Quillin: Quillin admitted he wasn't ready for the likes of Bute and that he'd rather fight at 160 anyway. Can't blame him, he's still a prospect and it isn't his natural weight, but you really are a hater to say Bute made excuses not to fight him Excuses for not fighting Kessler: Kept it for last, because it's the only fight that could've happened. But still, Bute made an offer. We don't know exactly what it was. Maybe it was too low, but it was only the first offer on a negociation process. Kessler didn't even make an offer and went directly for the other belt, easier to win. BTW, please answer my previous post.
Strange how this one fighter out of all the SMWs can have ALL the bad luck getting fights and be left out in the cold. Bute has the worst luck, right? :yep Still, as I predicted, he couldn't do what Bernard Hopkins did 16 years ago, to a man who really showed his age and ring wear. Real fight fans can't help but be prejudiced against someone who is almost pure hype. :smoke
It's funny that you can type somehting that is wrong (Bute refusing to fight in the s6) and still feel like you are right. I guess there's no point arguing with someone who is right even when he is wrong.
What's funny is how you Butey fans accept all these BS excuses and end up happy when he fights bums and old men instead. Stevie Wonder could have seen the outcome of this fight with Johnson. UD. Anyone who willingy accepts mediocrity and be happy about it is not worth arguing with. :yep
According to independent sources mediating the deals, Kessler refused a 40% split worth an est 3.5 mil with 2 mil guaranteed. He opted instead to fight Steiglitz, the WEAKEST link for about 1/3 of the Bute offer, a little less than 1.2 mil. Pavlik was gonna get 1 mil guaranteed with a roughly 25% split. He found out about Kessler offer, got **** drunk and called the TV/RADIO whichever and said he aint fighting the tuneup for 50K then the SP champ for peanuts. Funny, b/c GJ probably won't make 1 mil for the fight with everything after his 650K guarantee and 20% split. And likely, he's the only one who COULD have made the final bell
There's no point, but it's still funny. Notice he doesn't reply to posts that force him to explain his opinion further than "Bute is ****. I hate him." Then you start thinking: People like that have the right to vote for the president / prime minister / chancellor of his country. And we wonder why the world is so messed up...
Just say you were wrong when you stated that Bute refused to fight in the S6. You can do it. Be a big man.
So if you reject mediocrity then get your lips off Ward's sack for a second and reject his mediocrity.:deal
