    Bute swings his right arm at his side, looking to jab. Mendy circles wide and cautious. 1-2 feint from Mendy. Bute has a chopping jab blocked on the forearms and they lean together before shoving off and backing away again. Solid left hand by Bute as Mendy circles off the ropes. Mendy is dancing around on his toes, hands up. Pawing jab by Mendy. Bute throws a wide jab and ducks one in return from Mendy as they collapse into a clinch. Nobody is landing anything clean, both ducking and tilting heads. They clinch with their right shoulders ramming together. 1-2 by Bute grazes the top of the head; Mendy hits him with a left uppercut to the body.

    Mendy is looking for the counter-punch and landed a decent body shot near the bell. Still Bute can go up about 6 gears.

    Bute is hooking with his right, just playing around and getting warmed up. Lots of fast left-ward circling by Bute, trying to get a running lead on Mendy to make the old man spin on his heels to keep up. Good body shots by Mendy. JAB AND UPPERCUT BY BUTE, SNAPPED MENDY'S HEAD BACK SHARPLY!! Mendy hangs in there, leaning in behind a turtle shell and digging body shots - not scared. Bute drifts back to the ropes, flicking out right jabs. Mendy is reaching in and tapping him with some good pot shots. They exchange and get their arms meshed up. Bute lands a good left.

    Another round for Bute, easily. Bute landed the only powerful shots, and outlanded what little Mendy may have patted him with.
