It was Bute's timing which made the shot that much more effective too.:yep

The window for that shot was very small. that was fast.

He was bullyed and KD. Probably he wouldn't get up from the floor but we can say that as a fact.

It was intelligent trap-setting as much as speed + timing. :deal

His speed and placement was very impressive. I can't wait to see him with the best competition at 168.

That stadium was packed. Pavlik - Bute, November, in Transylvania.

MENDY had no business being in there. He looks so uncomfortable circling to his left. He only can go to the right as if he was fighting an Orthodox fighter and was walking into Bute's power hand. No experience vs Southpaws. Bute way to go!

But he dropped Froch who's only ever been dropped by Taylor. It works both ways. I'm sure Bute could be in those same situations and not stop some people. Lots of power doesn't mean you are going to knock out everyone that's been stopped before by lesser punchers. Boxing is a bit more complicated than that.

Good KO. Love BUTE. This however did not show anything as MENDY is a ****** who was asking to be KTFO walking into Bute's power. Did his corner tell him ever to go only to his left away from the power hand ?

Alot of that is due to the Austro-Hungarian era and Magyarization. In the 18th and 19th century i'v read about them literally stealing Czech, Slovak, Polish children and putting them with Magyar parents in order to assimilate them. So it's not that they're actually related to Slavs but rather due to lots of admixture because of them being the ruling minority surrounded by Slavs and trying to assimilated them, really destroying themselves in the proccess though. Dumb ****s.

lol i agree and understand that. I was trying to show the boxing math failure of logic. Toney takes flush shots from 250lb Peter and Rahman no problem but gets hurt and dropped by MW reggie johnson, **** happens.

Okay -- now I've seen the fight thanks to Pong. Bute has an uncanny ability to place that left hand exactly where he wants to. I think his timing and accuracy play a larger roll in his knock outs than his power does.

He still hangs his chin out over his lead foot, gives up his height, and leaves himself wide open to left hooks. He is also still a bit one-handed. He's getting better with his right hand, but he still under uses it.

No fighter is perfect. They all have some flaws if you look for them. Bute is no more or less flawed than the other guys at the top of the division.

Mendy was "in the fight" before the KO. I'm not sure what to make of the fact that Mendy let Bute off the ropes twice in the 3rd round when he shouldn't have.

Anyway -- hell of a knock out.
